Thanks for organising , Iβve found it really interesting and itβs pushed me out of my comfort zone . Thanks for all the admin of it . Have a happy & peaceful Christmas ππ
Thanks for organising this roseabi, even though I ended up only taking part in the first week.
When it came to doing more speed runs, especially in cold, drizzly weather, it dawned on me that I'd only signed up to be competitive, not because I actually wanted to run faster!
What I really wanted to do, after lockdown eased over here, was go back up the hill road and through the forest, to take in the views and scents, to find new routes and to be at liberty to run where and for however long I wanted (well, there was still a 20km radius/3 hour limit, but I'm not yet capable of running for 3 hours!) So that's what I did π²πββοΈ π²
So it was actually a really helpful experience for me
Thank you very much for all your work putting it together. It was a great challenge, something I have never done before but I really enjoyed it...and it made me get out there!!!
What a bunch of super speedy superstars we all are. Really well done everyone! ππ
For some it clearly comes naturally and voluntarily, for others (πββοΈ) itβs like getting blood from a stone! But I found a way to enjoy it, and I exceeded my expectations. π
So thanks for enticing me out of my comfort zone roseabi , I might even do it again next time round! π€£
Thanks for organising. I peeked on my first week and got slower after that so gave up and stuck to my longer slower runs. However, that first week was a whole minute faster than ever before so I'm very pleased with that!
Hi roseabi π Iβve yet to do/add my results for my final run πββοΈ Sorry, night shifts have been a bit full on! I will attempt tomorrow/Wednesday if thatβs ok? Although Iβm not sure I will shave anything off of my last time! π¨
Rain has been messing with my runs...trying to work my way through JuJuβs Magic Plan π«
Did get out today for final run of W7 which was the short one for me.
Sadly back into lockdown, so itβs back along the main road and sadly no longer level...βΉοΈ
So today Strava logged 7:56 for 1km...not as fast as last week, but this was tough! It also started raining βοΈ. I did however equal my PR for 400m...3:03 π
So not speedy...but pretty consistent...Iβll take that. Better go and log the full distance over on the 2020 challenge now.
Merry Xmas and stay safe π₯°ππππ’ππ»ββοΈ
Thank you Roseabi. I completely forgot about this as I have been concentrating on my December hm for Shelter (now done). I seem to be getting slower rather than faster! Well done everyone! ππ
Well done everyone, no snails found in this challenge. I achieved an all time 1k PB, so am very chuffed, and itβs ended my up and down running this year on a high. πββοΈβ‘οΈπ₯π«
Thanks so much for all your work setting this challenge up and the work you have done with the spreadsheet Roseabi. It is very much appreciated and again I managed to exceed my PB!
I was going to do my final run today but my brother called to see if I wanted to run with him and of course I couldnβt refuse. I will do it later this week but understand that it will be too late now for this challenge.
Between work and a cold (how? From whom??!) I have hardly been able to run at all these past 2 weeks but I'd like to log my week 4 run as 5.12 which I managed today! Technically outside the 4 weeks but hope that's ok! Thanks for coordinating!
This was a useful thing for me to do. It taught me many things, including how to pace better even when going quickly. The distance of 1km is ideal for pushing that little bit harder, knowing that it was going to be over in a few minutes.
After the fast run for this challenge at the weekend, I did my slowest, most comfortable and enjoyable run for many months this evening.
I might not do a fast kilometre every week, but it's certainly something to add to the mix every now and then. π
