Morning all, so just a casual 7.3km for me this morning.. and I seem to have smashed my time, too?! So pleased with that πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ And I’ve worked out Strava now so there will be no stopping me 🀣 Check out that wiggly route this morning. Umm...

I started with the aim of doing 6km, scaled that back in my head around the 3km mark (as you do) to 5k. I kept it steady but I felt ok to up my pace a little so I pushed on. By 4km, I was on for 6km.. ok... By 6km, I knew I could push it and I have to say BIG SHOUT OUT to my fellow Team Gazelle who inspired me to go to 7km this morning. With such recent great efforts from the team, this has motivated me so much and I just kept going thinking, β€œif Bambi can do this, if Peter44 can do this and well, if that crazy 10k++ Jericho can do it, so can I!” And so, it’s done βœ… I’m happy to have broken that 6km barrier now and can see that 10k!! In the distance a bit but not so far off now 🦌🦌 I feel good, it was a tougher run somehow but I’ve proven I can do it!

Thank you SD 😊 feeling quite chuffed with myself today and no after effects from my longer run (yet?!) How are you doing? Are you getting out for your runs ok?

7.3! Yes! Smashed a new PB! That's brilliant stuff πŸ’ͺ🏻πŸ’ͺ🏻 Team Gazelle smashing it 😁 hopefully a few more if us coming back from injuries soon too 🀞🏻

Your doing brilliantly adding a good chunk to your PB and still feeling comfortable, a great sign.

Brilliant effort, you've definitely done it and found strava. One thing I found useful at this stage was to try to keep to longer roads rather than popping in and out short cul de sacs which at the time seem a distance but looking at them on strava you see they are quite short for the effort. Enjoy your onward journey to 19k. Happy running πŸ€—

Thanks..yes I can see what you mean there. I’m going to get plotting some longer straighter routes to mix in with the zig zags to get on these routes. Strava is fascinating and I’m loving the stats!!

Thank you 😚 I am surprising myself these days and seem to be capable of more than I’d ever hoped on this running journey. How are you doing? Are you managing to get out for any runs 🦌🦌

You’ll be at 10k in no time! Yes I’ve done a 5k and a couple of 25min runs to fit them in around work. Definitely need new trainers though as mine are starting to hurt my toes (think I need a half size up!) so decided I won’t up my distance above 5k until I’ve sorted that πŸ˜‚ Am keeping an eye on everyone else’s posts though ☺️

Massive well done!!! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³Team gazzelle smashing this, I was like you on sat, thought, well if bambi can do it, so can I, it's funny, it feels a bit like, when we were getting close to the magic 30 mins, in c25k, but each kilometer is getting us closer to that 10k!

I did a slow 4.41 km, 37.55 mins, this morning, nice and sunny, back to short sleeves today.

You ladies are smashing the pace at the moment, leaving me behind!!! 🀣

We're going into tier 3, on wed, so will just have to carry on running! πŸ˜€

Yep, you’re right that feeling is how I was getting close to the magic and illusive 30mins (feels so long ago!?) but now it’s 10k 😬 We’re also moving into tier 3 from tomorrow midnight. So depressing! Thank goodness for running, it’s keeping me sane right now πŸ‘πŸ»

Well done, 7k is a turning point and there’s no doubt you’ll get to 10k now.

A good piece of Strava art too. UpTheStanley used to live in a street on that map and still plays for the hockey club on Foxgrove.

Thank you 😊 ah it’s a small world! I do often wonder if I’m ever running past any fellow C25K / B210K types.. I guess I could well be!!

Well if you ever get to Beckenham Place Parkrun you might come across Sadie-runs . We ran with her last year.

What a star! ⭐️ You wanted it and went out and got it- knowing how far to push yourself but sensibly - really pleased for you! Team gazelle πŸ¦ŒπŸ¦ŒπŸ¦ŒπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Ha thanks 😊 Legs might be aching a bit more tonight from my exertions but it all feels so worth it (and ssshh... didn’t feel that much of a struggle to get here lol)

Well done. 🦌🦌🦌

Btw If you turn your straps map upside down it might be a gps-art reindeer/ dog/ gazelle/ etc. You’ve also hit a square on the festive bingo!πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘βœ”οΈ

OMG you’re right!! πŸ˜€ upside down Rudolph. I couldn’t have done that deliberately if I’d tried!

GailXrunning in reply to Runforurlife

You can twirl the pic around and submit it for the bingo.

I tried to make a snow-person (deliberately), but (unintentionally) made a Rudolf. I wonder what the statistical chances are there??!! Maybe Rudolfo are a sort of default run shapeπŸ˜‚
