I don’t post a lot but I’m so so pleased at this morning achievements😃 Did my first ever 6k! I decided to do the 6k first in the daylight hours and leave the 3k for a run after work later in the week when it’s dark.

Was such I lovely bright morning with a moderate breeze, and dry Yayeee 😃 Decided not to get hung up on times and just get back to enjoying running doing a super slow jog and even pace.

Was so pleased when I got back, felt really comfortable and only a little soreness in my quad. When I checked Strava I was so pleased with my splits of 7.35, 7.11, 7.04, 7.15, 7.15 and 7.32. Really chuffed. Who said I wasn’t hung up on times😂

I’ve decided that when i don’t worry about time, I do better and enjoy so much more.

Anyone running today, enjoy 😊

Wow very well done! Those are great splits as well 🤸‍♀️🎉💪 I also find that I enjoy my runs more and do 'better' in terms of time when I don't worry about pace or splits. Keep going, you're doing great 👏👏👏 soon you'll be hitting that magical 10k, enjoy the journey 🏃🏃‍♀️🏃🏃‍♀️

Well done , 6Km such an achievement and really nice splits too. Sometimes we go out with too much of an agenda ( well I do ) , sometimes the good stuff comes when you ‘just run’

Thank you. It’s hard not to have that agenda, but you are right, if you can put that to the back of your mind and just run, it becomes more enjoyable. Then maybe there might be a surprise at the end with good splits when you least expect it.

Well done Dups. Those are good splits too, you're well on your way. I find I run better if I'm not putting myself under pressure too. Happy running!

Well done on the 6k 👏 your super slow jog times, would be like a sprint for me 🥵 i seem to have found a slow comfortable pace, which for now, seems to be working!Good luck with the rest of the plan.

Thanks Peter. Finding your pace is definitely the key to a more comfortable and enjoyable run. It also gets me to the end of the run without being exhausted 😩 (and I’ve been there a few times). There’s no enjoyment in that!

Thank you. I have always done some sort of exercise, but like many others started running during lockdown. Running gives me that feel good factor out doors in the fresh air. So good for the mental well being. Can’t see myself now ever not running( jogging I mean 😂) 🙏
