Nippy, Nippy Run today 🥶

Today was a cold one (-18°C) and my legs felt like lead. Maybe it was the 2 Disaronno and Coke I drank last night or the double session of meditation I did already today, the second being an online group session that finished just before I went for my run. Or maybe it was the frigid air and my legs just saying, nope there will be no pushing it today! But regardless, I got out, got some frosty eyelashes to show for it and still managed one check on my December Running bingo card - I have now ran over 25 miles this month. I am well on track for my 50 mile goal for the December! Yay!

Now that's what I call a little chilly where you live, I have just looked at the "wind chill temperature" for Saskatoon - 22C but sunny, temperature where I'm is +6C

It was -30 with windchill when I woke up so I waited until the wind died down. It was still -25 but I tucked into a residential area and really didn't feel the wind at all today. We warm up nicely as the week goes on but it will be no +6 🙂

Fantastic effort, although happy to run through Scottish winter weather I cant even start to think what running in those temperatures would be like. Hard core indeed. Great progress to your 50mile target, well done. Happy running 🤗

Thanks granny 😊. Our winters here are very long and I'm not a fan of running on my treadmill. Having the right gear makes all the difference though and other than my hands for the first few minutes and my nose when my buff slipped down, I was a comfortable temperature..

Well done on your run! That was a cold one brrr! I didn’t realize it got that cold there in December. You’re a dedicated runner to run outside with that temperature. Congrats on the 25 miles!🎉 Great photo.

As a result of your other post and with scepticism I ran to A Very Canadian Christmas playlist on Apple on my treadmill run in Thursday and was happy that I did. 😊 🎅🏼

Here in Montreal it was an unseasonable 6C for my morning run with some rain before and after the run.

We usually are in full on winter by December but the last few years have been all over the place. We warm up as the week goes on and are back to around freezing by the weekend. There s no getting used to any particular temperature right now.

I liked the Canadian Christmas playlist I listened to, but I tried a different one on Friday that I wasn't a fan of. I'll go back to the Canadian one for my next festive run 🎄.

I had a bit of rain on my Wednesday's run last week. I'll take snow over rain this time of year. It makes for some treacherous roads when we get rain because even if we go above zero during the day, we're below freezing overnight. When I'm in winter-mode, I'm happy if winter comes and stays.

I did think about another Disaronno as I made supper but it makes me so sleepy and hubby wants to go for a walk tonight. So I behaved 😄. It is very good in eggnog too, so that will be my post running treat on the bingo card one night!

Oh my 🥶😱! I can not imagine what that cold temperature feels like, never mind to run it and have icy eyelashes! You sound like you take it all in your stride though with all the right gear to hand, and that’s a great pace for any weather 😃👍🏼. Brilliant photo 😊.

It really is about having the right gear. We went for a walk last night and didn't bother putting all the gear on. There was a breeze so it became a very short walk 😆 but it still felt good to get out, even if it was only 15 minutes of very brisk walking.

My husband saw a post on FB where a person had a booze dispenser strapped to his back. He said he might actually run with me if I carried that on the run 😆

It can take your breath away. My hasband and I went for a walk last night and there was a bit of a breeze. We didn't have our faces covered or snow pants on so it became a very short walk 😬
