Muddy doggie! ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ

First run for 2 weeks so determined to get out today. Set off a bit late, around 10am. Weather dry, overcast, no wind and chilly. Walked down to the park and then to start of the old train line where we started running. Squiggy runs off the lead on this trail, he loves chasing squirrels ๐Ÿฟ and runs VERY fast! We did a loop today, running back down the lanes and a very muddy track (see photo). Finally Squiggy went off the lead again as we rejoined the old train line. A satisfying steady 8k.

Sounds like a great run, sometimes all the better for getting muddy ๐Ÿ˜Š

Might have to rename Squiggy to Squelchy! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’•โ˜บ๏ธ

One of our original Old English, a 55k giant, loved to run through muddy ditches; so the lower half came out brown and the top half was still snowy white and grey. Cappuccino dog! ๐Ÿ™‚

We have two large doodles and they both love the mud too ๐Ÿ™ˆ it's lucky we live by the sea so we can take them for a dip, wash the worst of it off before we head home ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿ˜‚

Fortunately our current OES is really fastidious about cleanliness; she wouldnโ€™t go near a ditch. All different.๐Ÿ™‚

Oooh, slippy mud makes running tricky Sue, once your wet and muddy though might as well embrace it!

Good to hear you enjoyed your nice long run!๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพxxx

Well done ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ running in mud is so hard, you must've needed extra energy to complete your 8k! I bet Squiggy had the best time! Not sure the squirrels did though ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Sounds like a lovely run. The footpaths are really bad at the moment aren't they and the ones that go down the sides of fields are dug up by the tractor wheels. But its still worth getting out there, muddy feet and all.

Aww, I wish my dog would go on a run, I take her out and then 5 mins later she sits down and refuses to move unless itโ€™s to head back home. Trouble is sheโ€™s a Great Dane so thereโ€™s no budging her!
