Coach Bennett's 8k Tempo Run - really a 10k!

Crikey! I should have read the small print in the NRC App! I was looking for an 8k guided run to complete W5 of the Magic Plan, so opted for CB's 8k tempo run, thinking it would do me good to focus on my 'tempo' for a change.

I started the warm-up run and understood the 8k was going to be divided into 4 parts. What I didn't realise was that the warm up and cool down was in ADDITION to the 8k! Arrrrggh! The mixing up of miles, kms and metres really threw me, but after 6k of 'tempo running', I just had to slow down and realised I had already completed 8k! So a 1k recovery run to get me back home, meant that my overall distance was an unexpected 9k - and I was really feeling it by then!

Niggles in my groin area means I'm going to take it easy this week.... no rush, no pressure. But I can't wait to complete the Magic Plan :)

Happy running fellow runners, but beware those NRC guided runs!!!
