Well that wasn’t fun! The road was like a bottle and struggled to keep upright. Does anyone know if trail shoes are better in these conditions and are they suitable for road running as that is where I do all my runs.

Careful on that ice Womangolfer ⛸️, I've got the brooks cascadia, it's classed as a trail shoe, but also semi hybrid, I've ran on the footpaths wearing them, but as for the ice and traction hmmmm 🤔 debatable, as the studded grips are designed for looser surfaces.
Thank you. I will have to go into the running shop and see what they suggest.
I was going to suggest doing exactly that, speaking to someone in a shop. I too tend to use trail shoes that are also hybrids but I remember when I first went through c25k, they were not good on icy pavements, I had to turn around and postpone my run more than once. Let us know what they suggest 🙂
