Such a Better Run Today 😁

My last run was a hard earned 6k, but what a difference a good nights sleep makes.

I was pleased to see a Grateful 8k Run on the NRC app, which must be a new one as I’ve never noticed it before. It was perfect for me today, I set off at a nice pace, breathing good, I felt so much stronger. I chose my my normal route but then almost three quarters in I turned a corner and headed in a new direction.....I knew there was a hill, but it was no where near as steep as I had pictured it in my mind and I jogged up it at a reasonable pace, thinking to myself I’ll be running down this on the way back 😁. Coach Bennett kept me company as usual and said that we should be grateful for the people who support us, those who make us laugh and also our running family. That resonated with me as I remembered all the much needed support I’ve received from the good people on here.

Having reached 5k I turned around and headed home, running down the hill was nice and I soon heard Coach Bennett telling me I’d completed the run. I stopped the run at that point and began to walk home, but feeling ok I chose a NRC 1k just to finish off with.

All in all a good and enjoyable run.....I hope your next one is just as good too πŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Brilliant, I sometimes run my routes in reverse just to double the number of options 🀣

I knew the next one would be better 😁It's great to have a run like that when everything just clicks! Fantastic!

I'll look out for that one in NRC as I have not seen that before

Was hoping for a longer run tomorrow but may have to make do with a 5k. let's see

No, I think it’s a new one as I was looking for an 8k run when I was gradually increasing my distance, give it a go it’s a good one πŸ‘

Nice one Sofaspud, it’s quite a nice distance 8k, pushes you a bit but not not too much. Nice lazy day today, apart from taking the dog for a walk. πŸ•β€πŸ¦ΊπŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ

Almost a 10k and I like how you’ve slowed the pace down for the last km ( still fast by my standards 🀣)Another fab run! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Sleep makes such a difference doesn’t it? ... and as for hills- legend! πŸ‘Œ

Thank you lovely 😊, I was pleased with that one.....yes sleep makes all the difference. Not sure I’m a legend 🀣 that hill was nowhere near as steep as I thought it was in my mind and I drive up it on the way to work.....maybe I need a new car πŸš— πŸ˜‰
