I had actually forgotten about the Strava November to 10K until I just looked at the stats after my run today haha π
My intention was to run more than 5K,
How much more I had not planned as you can see by the splits, I started a bit quicker than I would have liked for a longer run so started to slow it down incase I wanted to go long (8 or 10K)
It felt good today , nice and cool , I had the tights on and long sleeve running top and a very light windproof hi viz jacket , oh, and gloves .
This was perfect for the first half of the run , I was being very conscious of my form from watching the James Dunne video !
All things I was aware of but it was nice to have the reminder fresh in my mind on the run .
I had done around 4K when I decided I would run for at least 10.
It's been a few runs now since my last 10k so needed another one .
At around 7K the gloves came off !
And a quick drink of my 'High 5' energy drink .
I got wet in the process as I kept running π
I was approaching my house at around 10K so decided it was a good time to bail out , I could have probably carried on but didn't want to risk the knees ! there were absolutely no knee niggles ! Happy days π
Perhaps I can now start increasing the distance again .
Right , what's for lunch ! π

Yaay that is fantastic, Well Done βοΈβοΈβοΈIan for completing your Strava November 10k challenge π π π πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ. You must be feeling proud of yourself planning a 5k and completing 10k πππ, cant wait till I can do that!! . Wonderful that you had no knee niggles. lol havenβt tried drinking and running yet!
Fantastic! Sounds like a great run and the fact that you could have carried on suggests these 10ks are feeling comfortable.Having a little rest seems to have done you good!
Good that your knee niggles have gone away - so have mine. Very odd.
Yes, I don't think my little rest did me any harm , put me back a bit but that's fine , I'm not in a race πAnd yes, strange about the knees , I was half expecting it around 8k, but nothing π
That's something. I haven't at any point so far done laps over the same route. I've been lucky enough to be able to find circular routes of slightly greater and greater distance. I've even got a couple of 10km possibilities plotted. (Not that I'll need them for at least a month.)
So pleased you managed another long one - it's been a while - and glad that there are no repeat of the knee niggles π It sounds like you might be getting you mojo back π
Sorry - I missed this one yesterday. I had a stressful couple of days with house related stuff and was so relieved to eventually get out for a run at 2:30 yesterday afternoon.
I haven't seen what the new Tiers will look like yet - so I assume driving lessons can restart across all the Tiers? It is much more difficult when you are working, but must be a bit of a relief for you
I'm a bit late to the party so to speak but adding my congrats on your 10k with no knee niggles and well done on capturing your mojo during these testing times. Onward and upward Ian ππ
