LEJOG04 hitching a lift!

I said a couple of days ago that when my phone was replaced that I’d post a photo showing me hitching a lift near the NEC Birmingham! I’m now about 7 miles on from this, hope you like this one AIMorr🤣 It’s definitely a great challenge for us to get out there and have some fun whilst keeping us running and walking through the coming winter days

Enjoy!🤣🏃🏻‍♀️

Yes I do like it Over62, I see that you have hitched a ride on the back of a trailer along the M6 near the NEC in Birmingham as part of your Lejog journey to John O Groats, onwards and upwards 🏃🏾 👍 🚶

No wonder you are going so fast. At that rate you will be in Scotland before lockdown!!Loving the picture.

Enjoy your travels. See you in JOG

Yes CBDB I thought I’d let you know in the next week or so when I think I’ll be around here on the M6 if you would like a socially distanced run to mark the occasion, let me know your thoughts 😃👍

I fear I’m way way slower than you, so I’d suggest a virtual socially distanced run? Or we could see if we find a route that crosses each other from both directions?

HaHa CBDB, it’s definitely not about the time or distance that morning, the salt line from the motorway could be a good place to catch up and gently run along🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️

I’ll get mapping out a route, then! 👍🏽

Sounds good to me, I’ll probably come down through Rodeheath to the little pink church where the motorway goes over the road and on to the salt line if that’s any help

Brilliant Over62! I love photos like that! 🤣I was found running sensibly up the central reservation a while ago but I’m back in the traffic near Stoke on Trent now!

My mileage is substantially down this week, although I’m dog walking each day. I have a pesky cold, caused by getting soaked to the skin several times last week, and I’m giving myself permission to lay off running until the weekend. Today I logged 2 walks totalling 1.19 miles! Puny!

Happy lejogging! 🥰

Hello Cheekychipmunks so sorry to hear of your cold, definitely time for a little break. I have spent a lot of this journey in the central reservation! You’re 30 or so miles ahead of me as I head to my home town of Stoke- on-Trent. If you’re around junction 16 call for a virtual cup of tea/coffee with CBDB and myself☕️ you’ll be most welcome.

Take care and get better soon

Oh yes, a warming cuppa would be wonderful! Thanks Over62, I’ll take you up on that! 🤣 ☕️

I'm logging all my steps every day , which include a 7k dog walk daily and a run every other . I'm near Glasgow now - position 70 - and should be in JOG ( only just realised what LEJOG stands for -doh ) by Christmas 😁
