Morning terror!

So yesterday morning I was due to go for a long run. Two days before I had been out for an evening run (unusual for me) and found I had a real spring in my step and lots of energy, so I woke up confident and well up for the challenge.

I threw my duvet back and cambered out of bed, only to see a huge spider on the mattress! How it had survived the night I didn't know and how I hadn't felt it running around my bed was a mystery!

I yelled at my son to get the bug catcher and he appeared very quickly offering to catch the beastie for me.

I bravely refused his offer and placed the catcher over the huge arachnid, wondering at its stillness, thinking it might be dead. Then I saw my son's grinning face.

I realised I had been well and truly pranked!

It was plastic.

So I went for my run, but far from having a spring in my step, I found it really hard work. Could it be that I used all my energy on the shock of seeing a huge spider in my bed?!

Anyway, I pushed on when I was tempted to go home after 20 mins and did my first ever 9k!

Still planning my revenge...

Well done on your 9K run, for punishment, you demand that your mischievous son runs with you, if not tell him to start C25K.

Well done on that 9k. Yes I expect the shock had an impact!🕷 But it ended up being a slow burn run and you pushed on.

Hope your son got a talking to!

Yikes, the horror, Lizcanrun! Cheeky son (I know all about those, and daughters aren’t much better either!) 🕷

Well done on your run. Yes, maybe you used up nervous energy which is why you found it harder! Still managed 9k though, so woohoo! 🎉

Ooh that was mean! I'd have had a heart attack I think. Hope you think of a good way to get him back and, once again, running saves the day. Well done on your 9k.
