Have a fabulous start!

Yep - just done it - have you got a plan and broken it down into weeks or are you just setting off and seeing where you end up - my first plan is to switch my map my run to miles from Ks...

Yay, glad to have a teamie!! And a local one too 😀 I've logged as Ethelbert, so do give me a virtual wave!

I'm including walks, as I'd have to up my running time a bit much otherwise - basically taking it as it comes but keeping an eye on it to check I'm ahead of myself at the end of each month! I'm quite liking being very familiar with all the early places on the map, as it's all areas I do walk - I'm up on Featherbed Top atm 🙂

Yep - good to have a buddy - yes I like knowing the places too - I did a sunrise on Kinder Scout walk earlier this year and could clearly see Edale in my minds eye as we set off. I like the virtual map and the pin much more than I thought I would. Glad I signed up. So far I plan to up my running a little - short runs every weekday but we’ll see how that goes. I’m also going to include ‘proper’ walks - those that involve me putting on hiking boots - but when it gets near the end I might resort to including school runs and shopping trips if I’m struggling.

I’m on the list as Stephanie Mellor - I’d have preferred to be ssasqueen as I am on here but just didn’t think and gave my name when the firm asked for it - doh

I’ve joined the Facebook group but feel Ill get lost in there as it’s all different virtual runs so I’ll probably stick in healthunlocked.

I only thought to register as Ethelbert because I saw others on here used their usernames on lejog. I'm counting any walk over a mile, they're usually proper walks tbf, but I thought it might prod me into walking into town rather than driving! I only tend to average a couple of runs a week at the moment (mainly because I'm also walking with hubby when he finishes for the day, and doing online classes most days with my daughter).

I'll keep an eye on your pin too - do give me a virtual kick if I look like I'm slacking!!

I checked the map today - you are in front of me and doing well. I’m on 15 miles and at Torside Reservoir- I might go and visit my virtual self tomorrow and have a look round!

Hi Ethelbert ! Not to gloat but I see I’ve overtaken you !! But not to worry - you enjoy Blackstone Edge ! And take advantage of a long pub lunch at the White House just ahead. Very nice !! This is about as close to my childhood home that the route gets. The first postcard is at 40 miles in. 😉

Yay 😀 I’m doing this! But my knees have just stared to going up so I may need to include plenty of walks 😥

Hello !! I’m also doing this and great to find some buddies !! I’m also going to be pressed to keep up my distances so it’ll get me out of the house even on non-run days. I’m bib number 14770 - and currently 21.51 miles in so hope to see you on the way !!

I’m enjoying getting out more too. I knew I couldn’t easily up my distance so I had to up my days

Brill, I'll look out for you 😀

Just off out for a bit of a walk to add a few more miles - shorter 4k run yesterday with my son. I'm trying to get some distance in whenever the weather is amenable!!

I’ll look out for you - I’ve done less this week - my hips were starting to creak - but I did NOT park run on Saturday and am hopefully going to do a little run tomorrow before work. I’m enjoying the challenge- I love zooming in on the map and having a look around - it makes me want to walk the actual Pennine Way.

Hello ! It seems I’ve overtaken you (Ssasqueen) but not by far !! I’m 55 miles in. Next time you’re out keep an eye open for ‘Top Withins’ which is the old ruin apparently the inspiration for Wuthering Heights !! I was there (in real life) a couple of years ago ! Amazing views very bleak in the right weather !

Got an 8k+ run in today to up the miles a bit :) Walking has been scuppered a bit by my husband spectacularly (and inconsiderately) spraining his ankle last weekend.
