It was a sunny morning so I got up, put my running gear on and went out for a little run. Still feeling heavy and tired after a mental night of very little sleep and plenty of pain πso ran slowly.
Made a detour to run up my 'pet hate' steps (as opposed to my pet hill) to develop my up-hill stamina then turned for home only to find the way firmly closed, so had to run a longer way back and the route included that hill called 'The Beast'. Slowly inched my way to the top of that tightly clenching my buttox to try and activate those lazy glutes (following a conversation with a fellow runner and a laugh trying to do one-legged squats without falling over).
Another 6.5km added to my yearly total. 24km still to do before the end of the month...
Brandi Carlisle recorded a great song called Hard Way Home. Find it on YouTube.

I have three devices that I can look at the photographs that are posted to C25K and any other sites as well, my Smartphone, Laptop, the laptop is connected to my 37" television, hence the reason that I noticed that rickety bridge which looks that it could fall down at any minute.
I don't think many of us could argue with that sign and barricade! Well done you and all the best with your 24km before the end of the month. What km total are you aiming for this month?
700km for the year, so 350 by the end of June. I was hoping to get ahead during the summer so I could take it easy if the weather's bad during the winter, but we're still waiting for summer...
That reminds me that I had to do a detour for my week 9 run 3.
But not a closed path - it was full of golfers queuing to get to one of the tees. Any other day I would have waited, but this was The Big Day. I had to keep running.
Hills.......I just cling to the hope that they will do me good in the end.....wouldn't have one for a pet though....too demanding and take up too much space!! Nice run BTP. πππππ
I did some stretching with help from a friend. Effort against resistance for a count to 10, then stretch and repeat. It seems to have worked wonders. I'm v happy π
