I am in week 4 of the Magic plan and pleased with my slow but gradually increasing plodding.
I used Mapmyrun to plan a new route for the 8km 3rd run of the week.
We are back in lockdown here in Flintshire and not allowed to venture out of the county which is a problem as, without knowing it, I ran into Denbyshire! Was my run allowed as essential or was I breaking the law?
I think that I will be OK as I only saw sheep and so I am unlikely to be reported.
I managed 8.75km but took 73 minutes but I did have to run 420 ft uphill. This is Wales which they say would be bigger than England if it was flat.
I enjoyed my (slow) illegal run.

I'm sure there's a market for a running app that tells you local lockdown restrictions so you can plan a route that doesn't contravene them. Cracking run though!
Don’t think even Apple have marketed phones to sheep yet so you should be fine.
I’m not sure on the Welsh county laws... I know at one point running into Wales from England was illegal. I believe Heddlu will first explain and encourage compliance though, and only fine either if they get met with abuse or catch repeat offenders. “Essential” does include exercise, but my understanding of the situation in Wales is that you have to provide a “reasonable” excuse for crossing affected county boundaries... if you live right near the border then they’d likely be ok with a run nipping over it, if you live 20 miles away, probably not! We have found them to be more than happy to answer questions about the regulations during the pandemic... we were inquiring about coming from Derbyshire with food for a vulnerable person before the food packages kicked in.
I'm in Flintshire too and on a long run would usually run into the countryside and into Sychdyn or end up a mile out of town on Denbigh Road...I'll have to Google before setting out that neither routes go via Denbighshire!
I live up the hill in Treuddyn and try to stay up on top of our hill as much as I can when I am doing my routes. Still seem to encounter enough elevation gain to struggle up though.
Others on this forum have said that hills increase strength. I try to keep that as my mantra as a struggle for breath and my pace gets slower and slower.
