Reading a few

posts on here over the past couple of weeks about the Vitality London 10,000 which I had signed up to a few weeks ago, I thought I’d better go out and check a 10k route.

It’s amazing when you settle into a new routine of distances that those which were key milestones start to fade a little into the background as you aim for new goals.

So I set off this morning to review a 10k route instead of my normal midweek 7k. It was a lovely run of adding a bit in one place and cutting back on another and then suddenly the 10k was achieved.

I did my normal routine of warming down returning home to be greeted by my key follower telling me I had done a PB for 10k what a great start to the day. It’s amazing how much we achieve along the way but it was lovely to reflect that it was way back in July when I last ran 10k as a goal the time per K was a minute slower than this morning!

Amazing!

Happy running everyone 🏃🏻‍♀️😃

Hello CBDB yes it’s lovely now to be able to choose a few distances, looking forward though to entering a race even though it’s virtual for the first time!🏃🏻‍♀️

Great that you worked out a good route and had a great run. It van be awkward finding 10k run routes sometimes can't it. 10k is now my favourite distance, so I spend quite a lot of times with maps!

I agree, being able to have choice really helps

This is absolutely lovely to read because everything you say is so true. We need these times to look back and see that we have progressed and that we are doing well. Love that you got a PB!! 🥇🥇🥇

Well done Over62, I’ve signed up for that one too. I still look at various points en-route and remember reaching them exhausted and pleased to have got there, whereas now I can carry on past them, which is a great feeling....Good luck for the run when it arrives 👍🏅🏃‍♀️
