Many congratulations to everyone claiming badges this month.
Please comment below, I am really looking forward to being the one to hand out the award badges this month for your well-deserved 10K or 60 Minute GRADUATION BADGE!!!
I will try not to leave you waiting too long - we know how great it feels when you get to wear your new badge π. It tells the community that you have worked hard and pushed yourself to achieve an important milestone.
Brilliant. Very well done on your 60 minutes of running. And congratulations on the first badge in Bridge to 10K for the month of October 2020. Happy running.
Congratulations MoliJ on your 60 minutes and 10K. Usually people aim for 60 minutes first and then continue to get to 10K. You have achieved both on the same run which is fantastic, but I can only give out one badge. So I'll give you the 10K Badge. Huge congratulations again and very well done.
Well done. I did the same when I first did 10K. I went out to run 8K, felt great and carried on. I was slow but steady and did 10K in 1 hour and 20 minutes. Took me a while to get that down to under an hour. Congratulations again. 10K is a great milestone.
Hi hi! I'm following the magic plan and today I ran my first 9k in 62 minutes. It felt so good. I'm loving these long runs. I'm the crazy lady that runs grinning from ear to ear. If you see me give me a wave! #smilingrunner #runningcheshirecat
Congratulations and very well done. Iβm going to give you a 60 minute badge now. When you do 10K pop back and let us know. Iβll replace your badge then with a 10K Graduation badge . Your doing great. Really well done. Keep smiling.π
I'm following the magic plan and just ran for 60 minutes (8k) in the Cornish wind and rain. I can't believe it! So, so chuffed. I know it's not fast, but there are a lot of hills here! 10k definitely now in sight. I would so love a 60 minute badge!
Brilliant. Really well done for going out in that weather and running for 60 minutes. Donβt worry about speed. There is loads of time to work on that. Youβve done brilliantly, happy running and here is your new badge.
Congratulations π₯³ and very well done. New badge for you and when you get to 10K let me know and Iβll swap it over. Happy running. Your doing great.
Hi, did 10k a while ago and have gone on to 21k once or twice only so far. I did hope to enter a HM this year but that has passed me by, maybe next year!
Well done Conor. Here you go, a badge. Congratulations on your success so far. My longest run is 15K, Well done on getting to 21K. Such a pity all races are cancelled. Hopefully we will all be back taking part in parkrun and road races next year.
Damien, could I have my 10k badge please. I've actually run 4 x 10ks now all around the hour mark - I held off claiming until I felt I could do it reliably and I feel justified now. I can't believe how far I've come since the end of May when I had trouble running for a minute.!
Brilliant Jerry. Very well done. 10K in around the hour mark is fantastic. Happy running. Your new badge is very well deserved. Congratulations on your progress since May.
Hidden - I'm so sorry. Been busy with work. Just noticed this now. Belated happy birthday and wow, what a way to celebrate. Huge congratulations to you. Here is your badge. A day late, but now you have it. Huge congratulations.
I'm another one that set out to do 8k but just kept going to crack that 10k barrier. Just under 90 minutes so quite slow towards the end. The 10k badge will out shine the 60 min one.
I started running just one year ago and never thought I'd be doing this at 69.
Please may I have both a 60 minute and a 10K badge? ππ» I managed to achieve both today with a sub 60 min 10K and then pushing on for a bit more to go over the one hour mark π€
Fantastic. Very well done, that is really good. A sub 30 minute 10K as your first 10K is very impressive. We can only hand out a 10K or a 60 minute badge. Most people on the plan run 60 minutes first and then push on for their 10K. You have done it the other way around. So I'll award you with a Graduate10 badge. Congratulations.
Thanks damienair ππ» Yes, I do have a tendency to mix the milestones up - I blame my little legs, theyβve a mind of their own once they get going! πββοΈ
Fantastic. Congratulations for slapping those Gremlins across the face and getting out the door. And congratulations on getting your first 10K done. Itβs a great achievement. Happy Running.
Wow, great running. You will blitz the 10K next weekend. Congratulations. That is a great pace. Your 60 minute badge will be swapped out very soon for the Graduate 10K badge. Happy running.
Could I claim my 10k badge please? It certainly wasn't fast, but I did it. I was asking about 'limping home' and whether it counted here (healthunlocked.com/bridgeto... but the distance is done! π
Congratulations and very well done. Yes you did it. You completed 10K. It is a great milestone. I read your post and I absolutely agree with everyone. You have a badge now to prove that you are a SofaJockey no more.
Hi, could I have a 10k badge please? I completed a 60 minute and 10k run yesterday with my 6.5 mile run. It took me 1hr 25:57 but it was very pleasant in the sunshine. I seem to have minimal stiffness/aches today which is brilliant. Iβm itching to get out again π
Congratulations and very well done on your 10K run. I am delighted for you and of course delighted to give you a Graduate 10K badge. Wear it with pride. Happy running.
My 11 year old Son is a great little runner and a huge fan of parkrun. We both ran together at parkrun every Saturday. He has no interest in running again until parkrun returns. When it does I am really looking forward to running with him again. It's a lovely way to spend quality healthy time together.
Hi damienair i would proudly like to request my 60min badge as i done my first 9k at the weekend in 64.04 hopefully only be a couple of weeks before i am askin for my 10k
First of all happy 44th Birthday. Oh to be 44 again. I'm 46 . You should be very proud of yourself, 10K/60 min run on your Birthday is a smashing way to celebrate it. Triple Celebration. Very well done. I can only give you one badge so wear the Graduate 10 badge with pride.
Well Queenie17 you proved that it was certainly no fluke. Wow, very well done. Yes you now have a badge to show everyone on this community that you are a 10K runner. Welcome to the club.
Good morning! Please could I claim a 10k Graduate badge - I completed it today in 1hour 13mins, nice and steady...following along with the September Magic Plan, but also with some Garmin 10k plan runs, so my long run was extra long this week...πππ
Excellent and congratulations on your 10K. It is a great milestone and I'm delighted for you. Of course you can have a badge. Here you go. Happy running.
Thank you so much! I'm so happy to have made it to 10k and to have achieved something I would have said was completely impossible this time last year. Well done to all the inspiring runners on here too! π
I have been following jujus magic plan and have now managed my first hour long run. Took it slow (very slow) and steady on a beautiful autumn morning. Canβt believe how much I am loving this running lark π
You are in luck. It has been a very busy month so far with badges. I had to mold a few new ones last night and have one just prepared for you now. It has an extra shine, just fresh off the buffer. Congratulations on your 10K and very well done. It is a great achievement.
We all like badges here. It is a mark of achievement. None of us thought we would be running for 60 minutes when we started out in our C25K journey. But now we can. It is a great milestone. Congratulations and wear your badge with pride. Happy running.
Congratulations on your 10K. Very well done. So sorry I missed this, should have awarded your badge yesterday. Better late than never. Very well done and Happy running.
Damien
Hi I've done a few 60 min runs now. 9 km tomorrow so.getting near the next badge hopefully!
Congratulations on your 10K today. And so sorry to hear about your baby girl who would have been 4. I'm sure she was with you on your run today as she is everyday. Well done again. Thoughts are with you and your family. It's nice that you could celebrate her and run you 10K in her honor.
i have been running the 5k 30m runs for some time now ..and these runs are not on a flat road but involve a few hills ..well on Friday my timer went off at 30m ..only this time instead of stopping i restarted the timer and carried on running ...i ran the exact same route over again taking me 1 full hour
Very well done. Congratulations. I'll give you the 60 minute badge now. Please let me know when you reach 10K and I'll swap the badge over. Happy running.
Hi Damienair the Abba soundtrack inspired me today. Can I have 2 badges please 60 minutes+ and 10km. Cant believe how far I have come since I started the couch to 5k journey in March.
Congratulations and well done. I was listening to U2 when I did my first 10K. We can only award 1 badge. Usually we award 60 mins and then when you reach 10K we replace it for Graduate10 badge. So Iβll award you with the 10K badge. Happy running.
Thanks, that was quick. I'm switching to the distanced version of Magic Plan now so I'll be back for a 10k badge at some point, hopefully it won't be another 30 years...
Excellent and very well done. We can only give 1 badge, 10K or 60 Minutes. People usually attempt 60 minutes first and then move on to 10K. You have done both which is fantastic, I'll give you the 10K Badge.
Oo I didn't know you could have a 60 minute badge!! I achieved 60 minutes yesterday .....next steps 10 plan! Shall be very proud of a 60 min badge thank you!
Congratulations. Yes of course, here is your badge. Wear it with pride. I will swap it over to a Graduate 10 badge when you get to 10K. Well done again.
Please could I claim my 10k badge? I did my first 10k last week and my second one today.
I live in North Wales and have worked out a run from my house that avoids busy country roads with no pavements. However it does involve a ford and 620 ft of elevation gain. All OK if you ignore the time, (it took me 87 minutes) and invest in some trail shoes! I am on week 6 of the magic plan but challenging route finding meant I arrived a little early my first ever 10k!
Great running. Time has nothing to do with it for your first 10K. You just need to run 10K. And you have done that, twice. Happy running. Congratulations on getting to 10K.
Congratulations and very well done on your 1 hour and 10K run. Usually people go for 60 minutes first and then 10K later. But you have done both which is fantastic. So i will give you the Graduate 10K Badge. Happy Running.
Thank you for your message ! My brother bought me a fit bit for my birthday this month when I had just run 5k a couple of weeks ago and it has really helped me to be motivated during the runs ! Iβm so pleased I did it
I was super excited to have run my first 10K yesterday; 10.47 to be precise in 1:29:45.
But, my Garmin Forerunner has deemed it Unproductive so I'm a little deflated. Please can I have my badge as compensation?
So, thankful to this forum for helping to keep my sanity through Covid-19. I was alone in Berlin not really believing I could run 5k now I believe I'm a runner and have even been able to visit with my family in the UK and run over hills!!
First of all turn off all the smart settings on your watch. It's a bloody watch for goodness sake. It should not be allowed to have opinions. You were not unproductive. You ran 10K. That's very productive. I have a Garmin Forerunner 35. I have mine completely dumbed down. It can only tell me average pace, distance and time. Just like it should.
Congratulations and very well done on your 10K. It is a fantastic achievement. Remember your watch is just a watch. And a smart phone is just a phone. Don't pay any attention to them. I'd like to see your watch run 10K without being strapped to your wrist.
Thanks for the badge and sage advice. I've done a bit of computer modelling in my time so I do know 'Garbage in, garbage out' and as a 6ft2 52 year female I've never fallen into the statistical norms so it's ridiculous to look to my watch for encouragement!
One of the best things I have done so far in running has been to carry out a lobotomy on my watch.
Some people read too much into it. Leave all the statistics to the Sports Scientists and Elite Athletes. We just run for fun, health, personal achievement and ourselves. Happy Running.
Completed my first hour of running on 3rd October (60m, 9.4k) and my first 10k on 10-10-2020 in precisely 60 minutes. May I please have a graduation badge?
Absolutely. Congratulations and very well done. It is great to reach both milestones so close together. Well done too on hitting 10K at 60 minutes. That is a great pace and holding 6 min/km average for 10K is a super effort. Happy running.
Was surprised how quickly I ended up here after graduating on 2nd September, almost by accident. Can only put it down to upping to ~40 minute runs by default after graduation and then pushing on a little more on weekend runs where there's more time to play.
I did all the C25K runs first thing in the morning. Since graduation, I've kept consolidation runs to 40mins as the 'default' morning run, occasionally with a bit extra on top if time allows. The third run has generally been a bit more freeform.
Interestingly, the first 60min run happened on my first ever evening run when the pressure to get back home and start working was removed.
More fun to be had experimenting with run start times, durations and distances.
I actually managed 10k this morning in the wind and with hills. I just can't believe it! How did I do that when a few short weeks ago I was struggling with 5k? Time 1 hr 16 mins. Very happy with that (now that I'm 60!). Please may I have a lovely badge? Many thanks.
Ran my second ever 10k last Sunday π 1hr 8mins. I would love to get it down to 60mins but my fastest ever 5k is just under 34mins so I have a bit of work to go!
Congratulations on your 2 x 10K runs. That is very good, your pace is steady and your 5K and 10K pace is the same. You will do it no problem. Last year I was running a 33 to 34 minute 5K and my 10K was around 1 hr 20 mins. I did interval training for 5K and over 8 months managed to get down to under 26 minutes for 5K and under 58 minutes for 10K. Gradual improvements. Happy running. Your doing great.
I tend not to openly discuss my performances but I have achieved plus 60min runs this month. The first on 7th at 1h:5'7, the second on the 14th at 1h:2'.22. The distances were 8.54km and 8.07km. So, there's still work to do to get the distance up to 10km.
But I'm not fussed about speed, just endurance and stamina. The 13th this month was the second anniversary of my major surgery and I remind myself that I could not have envisaged two years ago that I would be capable of these achievements. So, for me, health has certainly been unlocked!
Congratulations. Running for 60 minutes is a great milestone. Your right, longer running is all about endurance and it is so good for you. I agree I have been running for 3.5 years now and the health benefits have been huge. Best of luck on your journey to 10K.
Very well done. Don't ever say just 8K, before C25k you struggled to run 1K, now you can run 8K. That is fantastic. Keep going. Your doing great. 10K next.
I got there damienair told you it wouldnt be long from my 60min badge to my 10k I ran my first 10k this morning in 1hr 8mins 20secs.Followed the magic plan and am dead chuffed never thought i would get here after starting couch to 5k in lockdown whats next? 10miles maybe!!
Brilliant, very well done. I did 10K again on Thursday for the first time since March. We could have ran together because we did very similar times. Congratulations. New Graduate10 badge for you.
Thanks for my smart new badge. Not in any rush to get to 10k. Think I might do the Juju distance plan starting partway through to build up the other 2runs a little first .
I really want to take it slow ,enjoy the progress I've made since May and avoid injury.I'm in this for the long haul?
Hi daminair. Today I ran the virtual Vitality 10,000. My first 10k and first ever race! Used Ju-Ju's magic plan - so chuffed can I have my 10k badge pleaseπ
Congratulations and very well done to you for doing the Virtual Vitality 10,000 and your first 10K. Great way to do it. Great running and there you go. Your badge is changed now to a Graduate10 badge.
Hi Damienair, could I claim my 10k badge please. Followed Ju Juβs magic plan and was hoping for a sub 65 minute run. I did it!!!!! 64 mins 40 secs. Proud of myself after starting with C25k in Janauary, didnβt expect to still be running, but here I am. Not bad for a wee shortie 5 ft 1β, 54 year old. Good luck everyone on your way to getting your badges, dig deep, you can do it πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Please can I have my 10K badge ?!? So thrilled to have run my first 10K today (1hour 20) and I made it the Vitality 10K aswell - but the badge from this forum feels so much more valuable than the medal for completing the race !! π Thankyou for all your encouragement !!
Super running. Very well done on completing the Virtual Vitality 10,000 as your first 10K. When I did my first 10K 3 years ago I did the same time as you. 1 hour and 20 mins. Congratulations. Shiny new badge for you.
Hello again ! My 10k badge seems to have disappeared ?!! Possibly because i accidently left the group and rejoined immediately (fat thumbs) ? I don't know. But feeling bereft ! Any chance of reinstating it ?
I would like to claim my 10 k badge. I can't run 10k yet but I have Jeffed it twice now and today my time was a respectable 1 hour 23mins. Going to keep going with Ju Ju's magic plan so I can run it one day may be.
You will run it all one day for sure. My first 10K was done in a time of 1 hour and 20 minutes. Just keep the pace nice and comfortable. Well done on your success so far.
It's difficult to believe it, but this morning I ran for 60 minutes - so I would love a badge to help me celebrate, please! I am still one of the world's slowest runners, as I didn't quite complete 7k in that time - so I haven't gained any speed since completing C25K - but I am not letting that worry me! I still need to finish week 8 though.
Now I just need to decide whether to go back the the beginning of the Magic Plan to work towards 10k, or whether to start at week 3 as I have achieved 7k. I might split the difference - start at week 1 so I get the full number of weeks, but do 7k once a week as the long run of the three.
Just enough weeks left to get my 10k badge as my Christmas present to myself - so something to work towards!
Congratulations to you. That is fantastic. You could add 500 meters each week onto your long run. That would get you to 10K in 6 weeks. It seems easier just adding on 500 meters. That's what I did. Next time you do your long run do 7.5K, the following week do 8K. Bit by bit you will get to 10K. Enjoy the celebrations, shiny new badge for you.
Thank you for the badge! It sounds as though I have been making the next stage too complicated - you are right - I can keep increasing a little and get myself there - I will!
I know I canβt graduate again damienair but I really am so pleased to be back to 10k again this month for the first time since a year ago when I did 10 miles.
Fantastic Dexy. I am going to take away your Graduate10 badge and give it back to you again. Very well done. You have made a great recovery and bounce back from injury. Yes it is great to be back to 10K again. Must do it again this weekend.
Hi Damienair, could i claim my 60 mins and 10k badge? Did the 60mins a couple of weeks ago and my second 10k today (as part of the Vitality 10000). Was aiming to do the run with my twin sister but she has her right lung collapse today so no running for her for a while. Takes the shine off my day but I'll be running for the 2 of us now! Thanks to everyone for the support and cheery messages. It WAS a magic plan that gets a complete non-runner to this stage in 6 months. Its even convinced my husband to start C25K and that is truly miraculous.
Congratulations and very well done. You have done great. We can only give out 1 badge, either 60 minute or 10K. People usually claim 60 minute badge first on their way to 10K. So because your at 10K i will give you the 10K Badge. I hope your Sister recovers well and will do a 10K with you when she is ready and good luck too to your husband on his C25K journey.
Please could I have my 60 min graduation badge. Very proud I have completed the Ju Ju's magic plan. Going to do distance now starting at week three, 10k here I come. Thank you for all your support and this amazing forum.
Congratulations and very well done. So sorry for my delay in giving you your well deserved badge. I had a couple of very busy days with work. Bes of luck on your journey to 10K.
Hi Damienair, I've just completed the 10k from Juju's magic plan exactly 8 weeks after starting, and 24 runs later! It was a horrible day for it in terms of being grey and rainy, but because of other commitments it had to happen today, so here we are! I'd be very grateful for the 10k Graduate badge
Congratulations and very well done. So sorry for my delay in giving you your well deserved badge. I had a couple of very busy days with work. You did really well doing the plan in 8 weeks. Happy Running. New 10K Badge for you.
Congratulations and very well done. So sorry for my delay in giving you your well deserved badge. I had a couple of very busy days with work. Very well done on your 10K. New badge for you. Happy running.
Great pace for your first 10K. Very well done and huge congratulations. We can only give one badge Iβm afraid. People usually claim a 60 minute badge as a milestone on their way to 10K. Then they get a 10K badge. You have done brilliant running so a nice new Graduate 10 badge for you.
Thank you for my Graduate 10. Honestly very chuffed to have got through it. Looks like I have picked up a knee injury though π¬ rest and anti inflammatories I think!!
I ran the Virtual Vitality London 10,000 this morning and my first ever 10k. I was pretty happy with my time of 1h 26min and quite emotional at the end as this run has special personal significance.
I can't believe how far I've come on this running journey since April. I wouldn't have been able to do it without the support of all you wonderful people on this and the c25k forums.
Absolutely. Huge congratulations to you for your first 10K. You have done a super thing for your mind and body. You have come so far since April, it is amazing and it can at times get emotional. Very well done and Happy Running.
Thank you so much. It is amazing for sure and I still feel emotional now.
Chilling with the rugby whilst trying to ignore the latest news.
Hello damienair I ran my first 10k today, you should have seen how excited Zi was! my first race too π₯³ Please may I have my badge, many thanks ππ»π€
Hello damienair I ran my first 10k this morning for the Vitality 10. I said I was going to make 10k in October and I just snuck it in before the end of the month π 1hr17. Please can I have my badge?
