2nd run of the week...

... it's been a while since I've said that!! Just another repeat of c25k week 1. Not sure whether I'm going to repeat the whole programme but at the moment I can comfortably do this run without any discomfort to my achilles so I'm just going to build up slowly alongside all the strengthening work and see what happens. It's a joy to be back out running the streets in the dark... all I need now is the rain 🌧 😁

I'm feeling like I'm being uber cautious but after the run of injuries I've had... I'm going to be cautious πŸ˜‰

I would do the same. You want to enjoy it Mum22boys, so taking it slow and steady wanting and able to go back out is the most important thing. Well done! 😁❀️

All you need is the rain β˜”, well tomorrow your wish will come true, well done on running run 2 of week 1 of C25K, those runs and walks all add up to your milage on LeJog, onwards and upwards πŸƒπŸΎ 🚢

It's nice to actually log some running miles as I picked up this injury in week 1 of LEJOG!

It's silly really that 8 minutes of running can have such an effect but I have to say I'm quite excited just to be back out there 😁

Not silly at all. We understand πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

That's made my night! No 'just' about this! You have had 2 runs already with no ill effects so far and a third to come! Doesn't matter how far, what speed or what programme...you are running!! Bring on the rain 🌧❀

Oh and huge congrats on your marathon πŸ‘ πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ I spotted your post a couple of nights ago but I'm not a member of that forum so couldn't comment. Super impressive, all set for the real deal in a few weeks πŸ‘Œ

Thanks for asking 😊 We’re still in lockdown here in Melbourne but just found out all five boys can return to preschool/school in a couple of weeks. I’ve been continuing on with the MAF training. Still more walking than running but up to 20k a week. Hopefully, boys going back to school will help my heart rate πŸ˜‚

I bet you can't wait for just a small amount of peace!! 20k a week is good πŸ‘ and when you get a little bit more freedom in a couple of weeks... πŸ˜‰

I was walking back from dropping the eldest at pre-school this morning, in the rain, and a woman passed me running and I was soooo jealous, but I gave her a big smile as she ran past

Great news, only just seen this, so pleased for you πŸ€—
