I think some runners on this forum mentioned experiencing a podcast mashup, wanting to play the Speed podcast but getting Str & Flex.
This happened to me today, on my last day of C5k+!!!
Luckily I have another podcast player on my phone 📱 which worked, but these little things can throw you so much, that you come close to just deciding to not run. It’s like your personal trainer not showing up to your agreed session (and continuing with the analogy I sent Laura a taxi to bring her over to help me with this last run!)
But I managed and the 150/165 intervals were actually quite do-able today. My usual routes are ca 40 min, and when doing the speed podcast (which is shorter) I usually add an additional 10-15min run at the end. But today I thought I need to give myself also some short runs.
And I really felt great after returning and doing my stretches.
I know I need to start finding a new routine now, as I’m about to complete my 12-week fitness program tomorrow. And I definitely will have to plan in different lengths runs.
I have a vague plan in my mind with some playful elements, e.g. I want to do at least one run on the zombie run app; I want to do at least one guided run with Erin on runkeeper; I also want to do a run listening to a podcast; and I might create some 145 - 150 bpm music for myself to have the perfect paced music to my runs.
Workouts: my living-room-gym expects to see 40 min workouts soon 😳, as my current ones were never longer than 25 minutes. Included in these are fun-looking belly dancing 💃🏽, sensible knee workouts, Pilates and aerobics.
I’ll be using Evernote app for my very own tick box list of my own curated program. And I might just put the Str & Fl program onto my tabata timer app, in order to be able to do that routine to my own music, although I’ll be missing Laura.
But then she almost stood me up today!🤭
But big plans coming up!
Happy running everyone!
