Really busy week with work, and not much running done. Had a short morning run and then was challenged to 3k against little miss UNM on her scooter. I like a challenge! Old railway track trail with nice compacted surface should be a decent equaliser. Course set to 1 mile uphill (nice and gentle 22m gain) turn and run down to the finish. Man won by 2 minutes, though now the rematch is being arranged on tarmac!
Nice bonus after when I saw that my miles for refugees challenge was complete... 72 miles for the month in the bag.
Happy running.

Thanks... got to 50 a lot quicker than the last 22 miles plan cutback and a slight knee niggle early this week have meant I’ve been chipping away at the goal.
Ha ha, I like this. Won't be challenging my oldest just yet though... it amazes me how out of control they can look going downhill but they somehow are in control but with no fear 😱 Congrats on reaching your target, hope the kness niggle has settled
The knee is great even tested it on the steep downhill again since. Must have needed a rest. Kids don’t seem to develop fear until late teenage or later.
Ah...you won this time!! Watch out...Little Miss will be plotting the comeback!! 😂😂 Sounds like you both had fun!! Well done for all the runs and the great cause too! 😁❤️
I don’t get how shops can sell items that , for most people, are illegal to actually use. people on the roads with zero protection? Great idea! Will probably be fine in trails when there’s a lot less traffic around... doesn’t bare thinking about in full on rush hours!
TBH I thought we’d already had the trial during lockdown down as there were so many around. Too quiet, too fast and sometimes two people on them. Not safe for pedestrians or drivers!
