With the teenagers safely installed ( with masks) to school, Mrs Wife snoozing after night shift, it's the perfect running weather outside..... The gremlins had apparently hidden my socks, quickly play hunt the sock, Ian 1 gremlins 0 π.
Thankfully the weather was a little cooler outside than yesterday drink or no drink hmmmmmm π€¨..... Drink in hand, its run time.
My towpath has it seems been saving visitors and of late it's been crazy busy, boat traffic and cyclists in abundance. Pretty much everyone is being mindful of space and all's good. The compression sleeves seem to be working π€ and even with extra warm legs running is feeling easy today. I didn't even realize I'd clocked 5k until Mr garmin buzzed. Good grief it's felt like an age since I've been near 10k π¬ and with that little thought.... Gremlin attack, sensing my dilemma, could I run that far still?? Wouldn't it be easier to turn for home and go boil a kettle grrrrrr..... The hot air balloon takes my mind away from such thoughts and I'm off, I will catch that balloon, well I didn't haha but the idea thwarted those damn gremlins again Ian 2 gremlins 0, I'm sure they even made me lose grip of my drink bottle, nope I'm still going drink retrieved 9k and I always like that last klm when it's been a tricky run... Kinda pleased that I've found my legs for a longer run phew ( shockingly 47 days since I even looked at a 10k).
Keep running everyone done let the gremlins defeat you ππ
Great job! I hear you on the 10k. It has been an eternity for me. It is hard to believe I ran a HM the end of June - since then it has been a struggle but slow and sure I'm getting back at it. After several years of training for HMs, it is nice to enjoy shorter runs again (although I find it seems to take 5k for me to find my groove now and most my runs of late have only been around 5k haha).
Ohhhh sask, I know that feeling, it'd be too easy for me to blame it on lockdown etc but it's certainly made things tricky π¬, hopefully it'll serve as a springboard, yikes π€«my last HM was back in April
I'm East Coast. The shillelagh Gremlin beaters are down in Kerry in the South West. We are more likely to give the Gremlins and ourselves a right good stern talking to.
Thank you...yes we were out this morning. Avoiding debris from bin day on the local streets. Not quite as picturesque as your run. π€πππ»ββοΈππ»
Well done Ian, on finding the sock and beating your gremlins to make it back to 10K ππββοΈ
Beautiful photos as usual, no wonder you're over-run with visitors! π
Thanks Run46 I was getting wedged in that 5k rut and all these youngsters around me are knocking out HM's for fun π kick in the pants needed me thinks
