Sunday Runday

An easy 3.22k this morning turned into a long debate between us and we both came home injured, nothing terrible, Willows knee protested and my calf said ouch

Was it the old trainers? the lack of sleep lately? lack of proper nutrition and hydration? the extra weight? or just one of those things?

We are going with just one of those things and unless completely comfortable will walk tuesdays run

Happy Sunday all

Stress, poor nutrition, poor hydration and lack of sleep....enough there to cause anyone a running problem, especially if your long Working hours involved a lot of sitting....you two take care of yourselves ! 🙂

Oh dear !! But you two are so dedicated and determined you are an inspiration ! You deserve a little walk replacement! Hope the knee and calf feel happier by Tuesday. Enjoy your Sunday.

Thank you, we are feeling happier anyway with toast inside is and a soak in a hot bath to relax those muscles

Aww thank you, and yes, not every run or every day can be awesome

One, all, none of those things. We expect our bodies to do what we want of them on every run, but we don’t analyse so much how they are on other things we do. Relax and enjoy the rest of Sunday. Happy running 🤗

Thank you, we went for a lovely walk across the downs this afternoon and it was beautiful, bit rough underfoot for running but perfect for a walk

You have had a heck of a busy week W&S. We need to be kind to ourselves (note to self - listen to my own advice here) and give in a little sometimes and accept somethings just as they are. You are wise in your plan to walk on Tuesday and hopefully your next run will be the better for it. 🤗

You are right, we went for a walk over the downs this afternoon which was lovely and made us realise how we run on run days and don’t do much on rest days so tomorrow will walk along the beach, it’s great carrying my phone and going slow enough to take photos

Sounds perfect. Enjoy 🤗

Let's hope it is just one of those things. Make sure to eat well, sleep well, hydrate plenty. I'm sure you'll both be great on Tuesday.

It was good to be out in the sun and walking not running

You know WillowandSola that run may not have been perfect, but really only you both define what perfect is.

This imperfect body can only do so much, but it’s doing what it can...and you know that’s never a bad thing. Great work WillowandSola!! Every run is a win!! 🤩❤️

I am much more likely to have minor accidents when running on ‘empty’

Take care of yourselves. X

As long as you've both recovered a little and have no lasting pain. That's the main thing. I think you both have a little superhuman power.

I'm exhausted as I read some of your posts and adventures. You are awesome👍👍

Lol, sorry to exhaust you, it’s such a busy job I do and some weeks we just plod from thing to thing, lately a lot has been going on and Covid hasn’t helped, we are all terrified the people we look after will get it and then they all will, so far so good though, even if my favourite work trousers are bleached round the bottom from walking through a disinfectant mat and I come home smelling of dettol with spots where the mask goes, but that is how it is for many this year so nothing out of the ordinary, running keeps me sane and walking is just a time to look at the beauty around us

I wish I could bottle some of your energy!! And as far as plod from thing to thing...it seems you are always moving. You are doing such a fabulous job I take my hat off to you both. You deserve every ounce of enjoyment and relaxation. You're right, these are strange and anxious times. Even more so for frontline and key workers. Stay strong and healthy in whatever way you can. Bless you both🥰
