I remember when Sunday mornings involved lying in bed till mid-morning at least and only emerging because the desire for good coffee and a sticky pastry overcame the desire for just another 5 minutes under the duvet....
Well not any more! ...at least one morning of every weekend now is an opportunity for a long run (8, 9 or 10k for me) and not only do I pull myself out of bed excited about it - I've usually spent more time at work on Friday planning the route in my head!. Oh the anticipation!
The new me eh! Have to say today's 10k along the Thames was a pottering jog of a run with plenty of time to savour the sights, smell the elderflowers (very heady at this time of year) and tiptoe across a field of cows. So no PB's but a great run all the same.
Now time for that coffee and maybe even a sticky pastry (But a least the old me feels less guilty about it these days!)
Happy Sunday running π

Itβs great fun and lots of new routes just waiting to be explored. You become quite intrepid π Planning and daydreaming about runs makes the time fly π
Oooh a canal! We do so love the flatness πππββοΈ
I'll be honest, I'm still exactly that person. Running is strictly for Sunday afternoons as far as I'm concerned! I'll not have it eating into my duvet and pastry time.
