Last Friday was 25 minutes uphill (previously 20 min) so this morning’s target was 30.
Very tough but I felt good enough after the downhill jog to tack on an extra 3 km.
At the highest point was a view of the Canigó mountain (wreathed in clouds here) which is a big symbol for Catalans. Today is their “national” day which is more celebrated on the Spanish side.
I have no plans to run up it ⛰😁

We use to have a place on “the other side” in Spain and would explore around that area. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous but that was way before my running addiction and so I was able to look at mountains then and just admire them instead of wondering if I could possibly run them..... 🙄
Yup, good guess IP. I couldn’t resist. There’s a video of a crowd of otherwise sane human beings chattering happily at the start, then dragging their thin, exhausted bodies up a rocky path. In 2022 perhaps? 😎
Beautiful view, unfortunately we can't see Canigou (from the other side), from our house! We have walked up it though, and I remember it being a real slog!! We are (not) celebrating Catalan national day, but will try to cook the traditional rice and seafood dish this evening.
