Recovery update

Went out for my first walk/run in a couple of weeks this morning. Alternated half mile walk with half mile run for 2&1/2 miles. Back home for 40 minutes of strengthening exercises. No ill effects yet so finger's crossed! The strengthening exercises are working wonders πŸ’ͺ my plan is to try 2 more walk/runs like this during the week and then re-evaluate. Thank you to all the lovely people who have been checking in and helping to keep me upbeat, you are all wonderful πŸ€—πŸ₯°

Wonderful Mum22boys, good work with those exercises, it’s takes determination to keep going with those, I knew you’d be back out there before long. The running and this community have taught me this much, it really doesn’t matter how fast or how far, it’s keeping getting back out there and finding the love πŸ’•

Love reading this! What a great way to ease back in. Hopefully this will give you a brilliant base to build from. I bet it felt good to go out there again. 40 minutes is a super amount of time too. I'm really glad that you felt ok after too. Ooooh, I saw this and thought of you. Any good?

It did indeed!! I've been getting out for a few short walks to get the mental space but nothing beats a bit of running. I will have a look at the video, thank you 😊 I've been keeping up-to-date with the Kellogs in the run videos, I'm enjoying her vlogs

Me too, she's so down to earth. I always think of you when I'm watching her 😊 keep going, it will get easier and you'll be back to it.

So glad that you are recovering from your recent injury, well done on getting out and doing run/walking and other exercises as well, I am sure it won't be long before you are running again without any walkingπŸ‘
