After reading about the fun fellow forum members are having with their LEJOG4 exploits (well done to you all!) I have jumped on Blackberrypie 's coat tails and also signed up for LEJOG5.
Being a complete novice as far as virtual running is concerned, I was so glad I saw Blackberrypie's post about it, as up until then I had I thought LEJOG4 was just a one-off ๐คช๐!!
And before you ask, the answer is "no" - I didn't get that LEJOG meant "Land's End to John O'Groats" either - le jog - I thought it was French.... ๐.....๐.... ๐คฃ....
For goodness sake ๐. I really ought to pay more attention. I shall now go and bury my head somewhere to cover my embarrassment ๐คญ ๐ฅด.
Hey, if you don't know then you don't know! No worries ๐ how fantastic that you have signed up though. Well done you. It'll give you a year where every mile has an extra importance and you'll change so much on this journey. So chuffed for you!

Thank you GTFC. I'm not sure I'll get to John O'Groats, but definitely hope to make it over the border to see my in-laws!
Apparently if you do it backwards it's Jogle... presumably pronounced joggle! Looking forward to getting started next week, hope I haven't led you astray! I'm going to have to log a lot of walks to top up my running time to 28k per week, at least until I get a bit further into the magic plan.
I thought exactly the same ... so its Le rather than la for jogging then? Is that just a tiny bit sexist....??? ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
Go you Delly D - I was teetering on the brink of joining this too and you would have pushed me over if I wasn't nursing injuries. It looks great fun and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Oh welcome to our LeJog pack!!! Yes, also my first virtual run, my first formal sign-up run, my first run running with others run (still have yet to experience a Park Run).... so I think Iโm right at the top with you in terms of first experiences, but Iโm running at the end of our pack! Youโll probably catch up with me, Iโm sure!
Have a brilliant start! ๐ฅ ๐ซ ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐
Last major invasion saw them land at Hastings and run to London... I think theyโve changed the route over the years to make it fit the French and give themselves more of a challenge.
Well that gave me a real laugh D-d - mainly because it took me several days to work out what it all meant as well! I hope you enjoy your 874 mile run - sounds like a very long way to me!
๐คฃ๐คฃ glad Iโm not the only one! I thought it might have been thought up by a Frenchman. WHY!! ๐คทโโ๏ธ Iโve not got very far yet despite logging my first outing in kilometers instead of miles - oops. Itโs not a huge difference but Iโve sorted it for other runs/walks. Good luck
this thread really made me smile, which is just as well as Iโve only run once in 12 days! due to a dodgy knee, being unwell and in the doldrums again...and am all signed up to LEJOG5 ๐ฑ... ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
I had no idea what LEJOG stood for either Delly-d, until your post, although did know it was hundreds of miles! The good news though is โle joggingโ is French, ๐ so weโre all not quite as daft as we thought, oh, except maybe for signing up for all those miles, especially if we donโt own a dog ๐

Hey Mrs Jorge! So sorry to hear youโve not been well. I hope your knee is now on the mend? Iโm really glad you are joining me on LEJOG! Itโs going to be fun except Iโm still waiting for my confirmation email with my order number so I can set up my bib โน๏ธ. Iโve emailed them several times......
in reply to
thanks D-d, I hope you get your confirmation on time, I received mine very quickly after signing up, ...itโs great to have some company for this challenge ๐ค
in reply to
Confirmation just arrived ๐, so I have my number and will get myself set up after gardening. Have you signed up to the LEJOG thread on here?
in reply to
Thatโs good, still to set up but yes Iโm on the list on here ๐ค

oh, my knee seems ok at the moment after resting it, it seems fine when I run short runs but it hasnโt liked me stretching out the time and afterwards itโs not so happy, itโs due to the fall I had earlier in the year, Iโve been doing some exercises so hopefully thatโll help... I meant to ask what picture collage app do you use? ๐ค
in reply to
I use the free version of PicCollage on my iPhone ๐
