After reading about the fun fellow forum members are having with their LEJOG4 exploits (well done to you all!) I have jumped on Blackberrypie 's coat tails and also signed up for LEJOG5.
Being a complete novice as far as virtual running is concerned, I was so glad I saw Blackberrypie's post about it, as up until then I had I thought LEJOG4 was just a one-off π€ͺπ!!
And before you ask, the answer is "no" - I didn't get that LEJOG meant "Land's End to John O'Groats" either - le jog - I thought it was French.... π.....π.... π€£....
For goodness sake π. I really ought to pay more attention. I shall now go and bury my head somewhere to cover my embarrassment π€ π₯΄.
Hey, if you don't know then you don't know! No worries π how fantastic that you have signed up though. Well done you. It'll give you a year where every mile has an extra importance and you'll change so much on this journey. So chuffed for you!

Thank you GTFC. I'm not sure I'll get to John O'Groats, but definitely hope to make it over the border to see my in-laws!
Apparently if you do it backwards it's Jogle... presumably pronounced joggle! Looking forward to getting started next week, hope I haven't led you astray! I'm going to have to log a lot of walks to top up my running time to 28k per week, at least until I get a bit further into the magic plan.
I thought exactly the same ... so its Le rather than la for jogging then? Is that just a tiny bit sexist....??? π€£π€£π€£
Go you Delly D - I was teetering on the brink of joining this too and you would have pushed me over if I wasn't nursing injuries. It looks great fun and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Oh welcome to our LeJog pack!!! Yes, also my first virtual run, my first formal sign-up run, my first run running with others run (still have yet to experience a Park Run).... so I think Iβm right at the top with you in terms of first experiences, but Iβm running at the end of our pack! Youβll probably catch up with me, Iβm sure!
Have a brilliant start! π₯ π« ππ½ββοΈπ
Last major invasion saw them land at Hastings and run to London... I think theyβve changed the route over the years to make it fit the French and give themselves more of a challenge.
Well that gave me a real laugh D-d - mainly because it took me several days to work out what it all meant as well! I hope you enjoy your 874 mile run - sounds like a very long way to me!
π€£π€£ glad Iβm not the only one! I thought it might have been thought up by a Frenchman. WHY!! π€·ββοΈ Iβve not got very far yet despite logging my first outing in kilometers instead of miles - oops. Itβs not a huge difference but Iβve sorted it for other runs/walks. Good luck
this thread really made me smile, which is just as well as Iβve only run once in 12 days! due to a dodgy knee, being unwell and in the doldrums again...and am all signed up to LEJOG5 π±... π€¦ββοΈ
I had no idea what LEJOG stood for either Delly-d, until your post, although did know it was hundreds of miles! The good news though is βle joggingβ is French, π so weβre all not quite as daft as we thought, oh, except maybe for signing up for all those miles, especially if we donβt own a dog π

Hey Mrs Jorge! So sorry to hear youβve not been well. I hope your knee is now on the mend? Iβm really glad you are joining me on LEJOG! Itβs going to be fun except Iβm still waiting for my confirmation email with my order number so I can set up my bib βΉοΈ. Iβve emailed them several times......

thanks D-d, I hope you get your confirmation on time, I received mine very quickly after signing up, ...itβs great to have some company for this challenge π€

Confirmation just arrived π, so I have my number and will get myself set up after gardening. Have you signed up to the LEJOG thread on here?
β’ in reply to
Thatβs good, still to set up but yes Iβm on the list on here π€

oh, my knee seems ok at the moment after resting it, it seems fine when I run short runs but it hasnβt liked me stretching out the time and afterwards itβs not so happy, itβs due to the fall I had earlier in the year, Iβve been doing some exercises so hopefully thatβll help... I meant to ask what picture collage app do you use? π€

I use the free version of PicCollage on my iPhone π
