Iâm sooooo excited! ððœððœ I could only see 100 miles on the LEJOG4 map as my first goal, but I had heard that you get a postcard at 50 miles. I got my first LEJOG postcard to share with you yesterday after an amazing run in the woods! ð³ð²ððœââïžð§ðœââïž
Sgt Garmin has been a task master! ððœââïžð€šð£, but heâs got me meeting so many goals now. ð€«... We wonât talk about the fact that he set them...not me ð¶ and ððœââïžð£ð he keeps increasing them too...ð¬! ð€£ð€£ I still kind of like him...A LOT though ð¥°. Just donât tell him that ð€«.
Iâm enjoying my 10k plan with Jeff Galloway too. I didnât do the âJeffingâ yesterday because I was enjoying myself so much in the woodsð²ð³, but after reading his 3 minute training for the 10k advice ð, I am going to ârun/walk/runâ as recommended and maybe Iâll even get a better time on the final 10k run ð€·ðœââïž. So...much against my normal âdo as you pleaseâ approach ð³ð, I shall try to reign myself in! (ððœââïžð€šðð» âGood luck with that oneâ!....ðð...âOh Sarge, ye of little faithâ!)...I can do it! ð¬
I have moved up the LEJOG ð¬ð§ positions into the 500âs ð²ð²!! Maybe not for long, but itâs nice all the same. I was in the 700âs last week. And let me openly declare that Iâm unashamedly counting my total steps, converted into miles automatically by Sarge ððœââïžð¢...not just runs. Itâs allowed and having fun, getting as close as I can is good enough for me.
Thereâs no chance of seeing even the back of the leader at any point, unless heâs lapping me while on LEJOG 6 that is! So I donât reckon heâll be angry at me ð€£ð€£. Besides...ð€·ðœââïž there has to be some reward for springing into action every time Sgt Garmin says ððœââïžð£ âMOVEâ! ð±..ð€Šðœââïž..ð..ððŒð€žðŸââïžððœââïžð¯ââïžððŒ...ð€£ð€£ Iâm a bit curious as to what Iâll do when Iâm in company!! I could end up acting like Pavlovâs dog...ð¯ð¥Ž! At least my boys know whatâs coming when they hear it now! ððð!
Itâs been a great week and Iâm loving it ð¥°. Long may it continue! Oh yeah...ð€...that wish is already granted! ð§ðœââïžð
Happy running Runners!! â€ïž

WOW Fabulous! You are just fizzing and buzzing and Sgt Garmin ððŒshould be very proud of his new recruit! You go girl!
Ah thanks so much WillowandSola!! ð€ I am truly honoured to be thought of as a friend. ð¥°
I have to declare that âThe Commitmentsâ are my own virtual band and the songs are written by me. They represent the decisions Iâve made to join LEJOG, commit to a new 10k plan and to regular exercise and overall wellbeing. But...ð€ I do think there is a real band called The Commitments. I had better be careful of any copyrights ð€£ð€£! ðâ€ïž
Great progress there! Iâve got my postcard too but can I ask about the photos? Iâm not sure Iâm using the site properly as Iâve not got any views like that. Just a little pin dropped on the A30!
Go to the satellite view on the map, then scout around a bit to see whatâs there (using the 2 fingers to scroll).
Thereâs usually some Google links near the shops and attractions that you can see. I click those and then have a look at their google info or website.
If I like it, I then take a photo of it on my phone.
I just add a couple of the photos I like to my end of week collage.
I hope Iâm not making it sound like Iâm a expert or too technical, because itâs easy with a collage photo App! ðâ€ïž
Crikey Fab450, I canât keep up with you! I did 9k on the magic plan this morning and Iâm âdunferâ. But pretty pleased as well as it was 4 minutes faster than the first time I did it in April so thatâs OK. Youâre cracking on through my home county of Cornwall, enjoy that virtual scenery if Sgt Garmin will let you! Heâs a real task master isnât he?! Happy running !
I would NEVER had planned to do it that way! ðð And I feel fantastic today too ð€ª. Not a twinge or an ache anywhere. I have definitely found that itâs best for me to just go with curiosity and âweâll see what happens todayâ each day I go out. Sometimes, every so often these little gems just arrive. ð€£ð€£ My longest run was over 11k and it happened almost exactly the same way. It has been a while though. ðâ€ïž
I love this Fab, it sounds like you are really enjoying your running at the moment, good for you. Your run yesterday sounded perfect too, I think I need to do more 'just run' runs and think less when I do it, rather than worrying about how far I'm going or for how long.
Keep doing what you're doing as you are doing it brilliantly and I hope you keep having fun with Sgt. Garmin ðªððââïžð¥³
Thanks so much Forest_Run_Beginner!! ð€ That go with it has been what works for me. I find the opposite much more challenging. The loser I am the more I get done!! ððððœ
Sgt Garmin intends to show me whoâs boss mind! ððœââïž...! ðâ€ïž
Love how you are building, challenging, changing and evolving into a fabulously fab 50! Just do your thing, which is hitting all the right notes and sprinkling stardust along the way ð
Thanks so much GTFC!! Iâve certainly had so much fun!! And that always works well for me. I find it all a bit of an adventure ð! Even with the challenges ððœââïžð! â€ïž
What a post! Love reading about running (especially your posts about your whole training ððœââïž team). Are we all becoming running geeks? Or are we just runningly cool ð? (Got to ask my teenage son what the current word for âcoolâ is...)
