Hi Runners!!

I’m sooooo excited! 🙌🏽🙌🏽 I could only see 100 miles on the LEJOG4 map as my first goal, but I had heard that you get a postcard at 50 miles. I got my first LEJOG postcard to share with you yesterday after an amazing run in the woods! 🌳🌲🏃🏽‍♀️🧚🏽‍♀️

This week has been great 🤩! I have visited Castle Rocks, village halls and a golf & ski centre as I continued on my virtual tour and continued running and singing with ‘The Commitments’ too 🎤 🎵 🎶! I’m getting there....or at least....I’m moving on up! 🇬🇧😉

Sgt Garmin has been a task master! 💂🏽‍♂️🤨🗣, but he’s got me meeting so many goals now. 🤫... We won’t talk about the fact that he set them...not me 😶 and 💂🏽‍♂️🗣👉 he keeps increasing them too...😬! 🤣🤣 I still kind of like him...A LOT though 🥰. Just don’t tell him that 🤫.

I’m enjoying my 10k plan with Jeff Galloway too. I didn’t do the “Jeffing” yesterday because I was enjoying myself so much in the woods🌲🌳, but after reading his 3 minute training for the 10k advice 📖, I am going to “run/walk/run” as recommended and maybe I’ll even get a better time on the final 10k run 🤷🏽‍♀️. So...much against my normal ‘do as you please’ approach 😳😂, I shall try to reign myself in! (💂🏽‍♂️🤨👈🏻 “Good luck with that one”!....😂😂...”Oh Sarge, ye of little faith”!)...I can do it! 😬

I have moved up the LEJOG 🇬🇧 positions into the 500’s 😲😲!! Maybe not for long, but it’s nice all the same. I was in the 700’s last week. And let me openly declare that I’m unashamedly counting my total steps, converted into miles automatically by Sarge 💂🏽‍♂️🔢...not just runs. It’s allowed and having fun, getting as close as I can is good enough for me.

There’s no chance of seeing even the back of the leader at any point, unless he’s lapping me while on LEJOG 6 that is! So I don’t reckon he’ll be angry at me 🤣🤣. Besides...🤷🏽‍♀️ there has to be some reward for springing into action every time Sgt Garmin says 💂🏽‍♂️🗣 ‘MOVE’! 😱..🤦🏽‍♀️..🙄..💃🏼🤸🏾‍♀️🏋🏽‍♀️👯‍♂️💃🏼...🤣🤣 I’m a bit curious as to what I’ll do when I’m in company!! I could end up acting like Pavlov’s dog...😯🥴! At least my boys know what’s coming when they hear it now! 🙄😂😂!

It’s been a great week and I’m loving it 🥰. Long may it continue! Oh yeah...🤔...that wish is already granted! 🧚🏽‍♀️😉

I have to declare that ‘The Commitments’ are my own virtual band and the songs are written by me. They represent the decisions I’ve made to join LEJOG, commit to a new 10k plan and to regular exercise and overall wellbeing. But...🤔 I do think there is a real band called The Commitments. I had better be careful of any copyrights 🤣🤣! 😁❤️

Of course. What I do is:

Go to the satellite view on the map, then scout around a bit to see what’s there (using the 2 fingers to scroll).

There’s usually some Google links near the shops and attractions that you can see. I click those and then have a look at their google info or website.

If I like it, I then take a photo of it on my phone.

I just add a couple of the photos I like to my end of week collage.

I hope I’m not making it sound like I’m a expert or too technical, because it’s easy with a collage photo App! 😁❤️

Yes, you need to move the pin away from the main road to see anything interesting!

Unless you particularly like service stations or the hard shoulder

Crikey Fab450, I can’t keep up with you! I did 9k on the magic plan this morning and I’m ‘dunfer’. But pretty pleased as well as it was 4 minutes faster than the first time I did it in April so that’s OK. You’re cracking on through my home county of Cornwall, enjoy that virtual scenery if Sgt Garmin will let you! He’s a real task master isn’t he?! Happy running !

I would NEVER had planned to do it that way! 😂😂 And I feel fantastic today too 🤪. Not a twinge or an ache anywhere. I have definitely found that it’s best for me to just go with curiosity and ‘we’ll see what happens today’ each day I go out. Sometimes, every so often these little gems just arrive. 🤣🤣 My longest run was over 11k and it happened almost exactly the same way. It has been a while though. 😉❤️

I love this Fab, it sounds like you are really enjoying your running at the moment, good for you. Your run yesterday sounded perfect too, I think I need to do more 'just run' runs and think less when I do it, rather than worrying about how far I'm going or for how long.
