Felt a twinge in my leg and knee πŸ™„πŸ₯΄ I thought I would be ok to jog every day for a short distance but obviously not 😀 I think I’ll stop now for a few days

Oh what a shame. Obvs you need to still have rest days in between runs. Hope the twinges go away. Maybe just give yourself a couple of days before you go back out? 🀞

I know but I’m watching other people run 20k daily so I thought I could do little jogs daily - hey ho πŸ€—

Shame, but you are listening to your body which is a good thing. Hopefully those niggles won't develop into anything more serious.

Personally I wouldn't try running every day - even if it's just a short run. I need the in-between days for my body to recover.

Why not try walking on non running days? It's far less stress on the body, still excercise and gets you outside

Good luck and happy running πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Yes I’ll go back to doing just that I think as it’s been hurting even walking around the house today πŸ™„

I think walking on non-running days is very good advice, its what I do, that way I find get some form of exercise every day. I have to admit though I do occasionally through in an extra run on a day where I should be walking but not too often 😁

Well the best way to learn is by doing something wrong so they say and I’ve learned my lesson now πŸ€—

very sensible to stop the every day, give those legs time to rest and as others say you can always go for a walk between run days

I think I thought it would also help me lose a bit of weight πŸ™„ unfortunately I ate more after that as feeling fed up πŸ˜‚

I gained a stone last year and although i know exactly how to lose weight each day i just can’t do it πŸ™„ so I sympathise with the fed up feeling

Me too, got a twinge in my knee after my first Fartlek on Tuesday. Obviously tried to run too fast! Giving myself a few days off now. The last thing we want is an injury to put us on the IC.

Take it easy!

Oh no! Knee niggles are annoying. I put some targeted knee strengthening workouts in the Strength and Flex forum, where we now have a specific injury couch topic. There are a few knee workouts in there which might just help:

Oh I’m sorry to hear that as you were doing so well πŸ™„ it’ll give you more time to do some more painting though πŸ‘

You've got a good memory Killerblue - yes, some more painting is good - actually doing Picasso face-painting for fun! But I also have a full-time job and I'm easily distracted!

I hope your knee twinges get better soon too 😍

Sensible move, I've been doing loads of walking and running but any time I've fancied doing consecutive run days my body soon let's me know it's not the best idea for me. Follow your gut instinct, if your body grumbles, respect it. Happy running πŸ€—

It’s annoying when the body doesn’t want to do what the mind wants it to do 😀

Take care! I missed out on two weeks this month from not listening to a knee niggle.

That’s what I’m worried about being stuck in for a few weeks. I think I’d go completely mad πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

I had knee pain after my 2nd 10k. I had to rest a week, then built up (with knee strap), couple of 3ks, then 4ks. OK with 5/6 now but it has taken a while. Good luck x

I’m going to have a lovely lie in tomorrow and maybe a walk in the afternoon then see how things are
