Well ok I can't turn cartwheels, but my physio thinks I'm improved enough to go down to one crutch. I can even walk a little way without crutches!

I've been given a new set of strengthening exercises.

She asked me to do a standing squat over a dining chair, and I was dismayed at how hard it was to get back up and vertical again! Gave her a laugh though 😁

All together now, "Use your core!!!"

"I'm tryyyiiiinnnggg!!!"🤣🤣

According to my lovely physio, progress is slow but definite. So, proceeding with caution⚠️ 😊

Hello grumpyoldgirl, Glad to hear that progress is being made. 😊 It is odd isn't it not knowing what you can do when. I remember when I asked the GP when I had a fractured pelvis, 'How will I know when I can walk?' He just said, 'You'll just know!' And he was right, I did just find my leg doing things! My mind is boggling about doing a standing squat over a dining chair. 🤔

One of the ladies in my pilates class described it as having to use the ladies in a dodgy bar, i.e. don't make contact with the seat!!!

Well done GOG - I’m glad your physio hasn’t added cartwheels to your new set of exercises! I’m sure they’ll do the trick and have you back out there soon!
