Well, well, eventually reached my 60 min run on Monday, therefore thought I should step back slightly and do one of the c25k+ podcasts. I picked the steppingstones one and got quite a shock. That Laura’s a real bully😂🤣. Long and short is I finished and kept up with the beat, completely amazed, probably the fastest I have ran yet. Total of 4.28k in 30.41mins, average pace 7.10/km. Next run on Friday a hopefully as quick 5k for MMD’s virtual 5k. Might join the magic plan for 4th September!!😱😱.

Happy running everyone

Laura is not a bully, with the runs of +C25K compared to C25K she probably sounds a little more aggressive to some runners and graduates, but certainly not a bully.

I really do know that, of course it was enjoyable but hard👍👍😁.

Laura has now got a hurricane named after her.

Hilarious, she certainly has that effect on us all in a good way employing hurricane energy👍👍🤣.

Great effort running with Laura bullying you, shows what is possible. Enjoy the magic plan, you already know you can do 60 mins. Happy running 🤗

Trying to be more confident in my attitude. Thank you.

Running definitely builds confidence, who would have thought about that positive side effect when starting c25k 🤣

Who would have thought it, us older ladies achieving this. Have just read your profile and am on awe if your achievements.

That's very kind, truth be told I've always been reasonably fit and never overweight. However running is new for me and I've been way more active than at any time in the past. Happy running 🤗

Wow! Nice! I have another 2 runs to go before trying the C25k+ podcasts! Already downloaded. ✔️ So really nice to read about the experiences!

Obviously tongue in cheek, was doable and fun. You will enjoy when you get there

Ha ha, yes I took it as such. How else to describe that voice in your ear, that someone sitting on your shoulder telling you how to run!

Runkeeper has a drill sergeant / instructor, a Boston Fan as well as someone called “My conscience”! Scary!

Wow Hareshaw-Granny 🌟. What a super run! You go for that Magic Plan!

Aww thank you, will need to take a few brave pills or G and T’s when I register🤣🤣.

I did my C25K at the time using an App which had an American Army Drill Sergeant as the voice coach. Now he was a bully. 😀

Hope you did it with a full up to weight backpack too. 😁

No. I was a full wuss. However I did once run a 5K with a colleague of mine whom was in the British Army and he pushed me to my first sub 27 minute 5K. At the time he too was a real bully. But afterwards once I had recovered I thanked him. And even bought him a drink.😂

Thankyou kindly, although sadly I will never reach your wonderful distances. I'll be v happy if I can make 10k eventually. 👍

in reply toHareshaw-Granny

And you will 😊 you're doing all the right things. It's your journey and nobody else's so keep doing what you are doing and 'well done!'
