I haven’t run for about a week after feeling tired, then dizzy and nauseous for a few days. Thought it might be a return of Labrynthitis or a side effect of my cricked neck and trapped nerve, which is also giving me a tingly wrist and hand. I have a chiro appointment booked for Tuesday so hopefully will feel better after that.
But this morning I couldn’t stick it any longer and had to go out for a run. “ just half an hour gentle run” I told myself.... it then it was going well so I carried on and 41 minutes later I had done a nice little 5k. I warmed down carefully and then came home and did my stretches in the kitchen while I boiled the kettle for a cuppa .......... and then came round on the floor with my head up against the fridge. Not sure what caused it as I didn’t stop running suddenly, just slowed a bit, then walked briskly then slower.... whether it was low BP??? Or what? Bit scary though.
Hopefully when my neck is freer it will go away ☹️

Yikes LL, hope you’re ok? Do you have low blood pressure as a rule? I do, and therefore need to be careful never to skip meals or not hydrate properly before runs. *Touch wood*, however, since starting running over 2 years ago I’ve never felt faint.
Maybe your kitchen was a bit warm? Who knows, but please take it easy. Shame, after such a good run too. 🏃♀️
I usually have high BP and take meds for it but once before when I was running regularly it dropped and dr took me off meds , Then I had a slump and piled some weight on again and had to go back on them again.
I usually just run after half a coffee and a banana, which Id had this morning,... drank plenty yesterday but didnt eat much so maybe that??
You take care if you limberlou. Sounds like blood pressure. Please do go get it checked out. You owe it to yourself. Imagine if that had happened when you were running.
Yikes - that's not good. Hope you didn't hurt anything when you fainted? Maybe your running has brought ur bloid pressure down. Wd be a great bonus if u can get off the medication. Take care. X
Gosh, poor you! Yes, I think it would be sensible to get this checked out. As others say, could be your BP, could be a combination of things - hope you are OK now - take care.x
Good Lord...thankfully you didn't break anything as kitchen floors aren't generally a soft surface either!
I'm sure there's some weirdness going around, I don't know if the hot weather and dreadful humidity takes any blame but there seems to have been a few of us with dizzyness/light headedness recently...myself included and I never usually have a problem.
I hope you aren't feeling too drained or bruised as an after effect, take care of yourself xx
