B210K magic 10 plan on hold...

First week back at work since the end of March and after a four day rest period I was finally able to get out today! I completed wk1 of the plan last week and I felt good but work took over this week.

Can you drop a week and then pick it up again?

Anyway, I'm thinking I take the pressure off myself and aim to do two 5ks min. per wk and build it up to three before i return to plan and hopefully things with work are a little more settled and ive got a routine sorted.

So although I think I've settled on putting the 10k plan on hold, I did go out today even when I was feeling rubbish. I wondered if I'd hit 3k so was DELIGHTED when I reached 5k and knocked 45 seconds off my PB! I even hit my sub 33 goal with 32:30 😀

Fantastic effort with today’s run, that’s a great new Pb. Well done getting back to work, this is such a change in routine that it really is worth stopping to work out how best to fit in your running. Great that you fully intend to continue. Good luck and happy running 🤗

Thank you Grannyhugs. My run last Sunday was brutal so I'm glad today was a lot more positive as it's given me a reminder to keep going 😀

Good luck with being back at work tallteal- it must be quite hard to adjust after all this time.

Just take runs when you can get them without a plan until life settles down.

Don’t forget when you do start, you can do each week’s runs in any order and can take more than on rest day. The long run should be slower than the other two.
