Hello and a huge welcome to week 6 of the 10 is the Magic Number 10k plan. Apologies this is a bit late, life has been a bit mad lately.

How are you all doing? .... we are getting really close now to the end! The pic is from the weekend where I was running in hilly DEVON. It was so good to get out after a long week at work and clear my head ๐ŸŒˆ

In this weeks vid I talk about personal resilience and how itโ€™s good to flex it....

Had to take a week off due to a gout flare up :-(

All ok now though, I will just repeat the last week and carry on :-)

Ouch that sounds sore, and I am so glad you are feeling better now... ease yourself in gradually ๐Ÿ˜Ž

My runs have gone totally out of order now trying to juggle kids/ work and general family life.

I completed the 9k for this week last Friday, missing the 5k so that when I had kids on my own for the day on Sunday I didn't have to take them with me. I ran the great run local 5k on Sunday, kids ran the 2k which was great.

I need to do a 4k run tomorrow and then Friday for next week's long run.

Thank you for the plan Ju Ju, it has given me the discipline I needed to increase my distance. Without it I would have decided life was too complicated and given up.

well done, it sounds to me like you are doing brilliantly - a plan and the discipline to do it makes all the difference I think. Good work :)

Iโ€™m still a bit behind, but have done my second 50 minute run. I have my other week 5 runs to do before starting week 6. Just donโ€™t ask about my plankathon .........๐Ÿ˜”

Oh dear, Iโ€™m not really doing so well Iโ€™m afraid - partly because Iโ€™ve been away skiing with Dexy5 and Up The Stanley! But Iโ€™ll be back on it later this week as soon as we get back - following the rest of the pack as it were! Good luck to all!

Week 6 started. Pleased/relieved that Iโ€™m still going! Set out yesterday not too sure which time I would do, no pressure and just kept going. Steady pace, steady breathing and I got pass 30 minutes so thought I better just keep going! 56 minutes completed and I was very pleased to stop ๐Ÿ˜€

I'm so far off the plan now, after a month off running due to illness, that I'm probably going to slope off, focus on getting my fitness back up, & either restart alone or join the next round instead. Finally got out for a run this morning - hallelujah! - & will see how feasible a long run is later in the week.

Well done everyone who's kept up in all the wet weather - keep going! You're inspiring me!

Donโ€™t worry. Iโ€™m way behind as well but I am repeating the plan so keep going. I started week 3 today with the long run and will just carry on ticking the runs off on my sheet.

It will get easier now the days are getting longer and hopefully the weather will be better.

Happy running.
