It was quite a cool morning with a nice breeze so I decided to try a different route and go for my first 10k run, and longest run, for almost 2 months. Slogged up the hill, then thought Iโd try a different route so turned off at the crossroads to see where the road went. As I went further and further downhill I thought to myself โuh oh Iโm going to regret this on the way backโ. Anyway, I veered off into the vines rather than end up on the main road and headed back towards Monbazillac. Yep, I regretted it alright! That is one heck of a hill. Sadly Strava decided to give up on me at 5.7k but thank goodness I was doing NRC 10k guided run. Stats - 10k in 1:11:19, 209m of elevation. Km 3 had 82m of downhill and km 6 had 76m of uphill. Told you it was a steep one didnโt I?
Photo taken at the bottom of the hill. Our house is just behind the water tower you can see on the skyline!

The first half was much quicker than the second half ๐ It really was a v-shaped run! Sunโs out here again now after a cooler day yesterday and a thunderstorm on Saturday lunchtime, but a bit of respite on the temperature until it goes back up
What a lovely run Sandie, and like us , hills are not plentiful in Lincoln so you donโt get a lot of practice at home.
You are such a strong runner now and your time for a hilly run is still faster than my flat PB. It will be interesting to see how much you improve over the next month.
