W2 long run

Hi all,

I decided to get the long run out of the way today. 6k in 48 minutes felt much slower than that the but I’m glad it’s out of the way. I think I’m still a teeny bit under the weather. I was home by 9am and fell asleep 😴 for half an hour!

I might roll my runs down this week 5k then 3k then roll them up again the week after 3.5k 5k then the 7.

I’ve managed to persuade my daughter to try the C25k so I’m going to have to decide whether to cycle or scoot alongside her. Probably cycle, not sure heavy middle aged ladies suit scooters 😊

Happy running everyone!

Well done and take care of yourself 😊 Rest up when your body tells you 🦋

Well done on your long run. Good to have a power nap when your body needs it (I've just had one myself actually). Great that Miss HN is going to give it a go. Cycling sounds easier. Have fun together.

Well done, 48 minutes running is excellent work. Your plan for the next 4 runs sounds great. Well done persuading your daughter to start. Happy running 🤗

I hope it sticks, she’s a slim but sedentary 11 year old, definitely needs a fitness interest.

Good luck with that, does she have a friend she could do it alongside?

Not really but you’ve given me food for thought 😍

Another successful run in the bag even if it was a tiring one. I like the sound of your mini plan. Hope you soon get your stamina back.

Well done on your recruitment drive!

Thank you I’ve resorted to offering incentives (before she wants to give it up) new running kit at weeks 3 and 6 some (cheap) bone conducting headphones at week 9 (so I can have mine back 😉) and of course a medal for completing!
