Madness or Inspiration?

Yesterday I was planning to do my 60 minute 4 hill run.

But, heading south past No Man’s Land (odd name) I reached the crossroads at 39 minutes which is a minute longer than a PB contender.

Then someone inside my head said “if you’re not going to manage a PB, go for a longer run”. Instead of turning eastwards when I could have finished in about 20 minutes, I carried on southwards towards Trelill and turned northwest through Watergate to get back to the main road.

I realised too late how knackering the uphill is. It puffs me out just walking it.

End result: a new 80 minute four hill run, a lot of satisfaction and legs which needed a full day’s rest 🥴

Good 80 minutes four hill run for you today HeavyFoot, that area you are in is South West England near Bude if I am correct, very beautiful countryside to run in, apart from those hills, you deserve a good rest tomorrow.

That was yesterday so today has been a wonderfully lazy day.

Here is about 30 minutes’ drive south of Bude. No distance at all in Scottish terms I suppose.

That should have been northeast through Watergate. oops

Ha ha, I remember Watergate back in the 70's, President Nixon and all that, of course it was not the Watergate in South West England. 😊

I wonder if the notoriety put the value of that house up or down?

Why do a 60 minute 4 hill run when you can do an 80 minute one. Brilliant, hope you enjoyed your rest day 👏👏
