Morning,

I have managed to do the couch 2 5k, but started to get a sore left foot and shoulder, it could be related to running as I had been furloughed and only exercise I was doing. I have been to a professional shop and got a fitting, so I have new Brook trainers, so hoping I can continue my running and reach a 10k eventually.

Thats great news about the trainers, well done on getting out. Gradually build up your fitness again by adding in some daily walks etc as well?

Brooks trainers are great, here's hoping they solve the foot problem. Are you tensing your upper body when running- may be causing shoulder pain. Good luck on progress to 10k. The plan is great. Happy running 🤗

Yeah I hope it resolves my foot issue, the shoulder I'm unsure, I'm trying to relax and not stress but it hard to assess what your doing I suppose 🙂

It wasn't apparent at the beginning of couch 2 5k, just about week eight where I was running for longer.

Thanks, any thoughts appreciated.

I'm doing band exercises to strengthen my shoulder muscle and short runs again and hopefully this will help x
