I’m following the magic plan to 10k and on the days I don’t run I walk 40 mins (with hills) home from work. I’m wondering how helpful in strengthening my legs and building up to the 10k run this is? Or am I wasting my time walking in the rain for little gain? Any thoughts welcomed!

Walking is great on run free days, but if the weather forces you into the car you can always do some strengthening exercises instead.
I used to do Pilates classes on 2 of my rest days but as they are still off I will do a session at home with the moves I can remember or the exercises I was given by my physio.
Good luck - I’ll be joining you next week I think.

Definitely not wasting your time. I brisk walk twice a day 7 days a week with the dog and I'm positive it helps my running. So keep going 👍🚶♂️🚶♂️
