First 10k!!! I'm absolutely buzzing!

Completed my first 10k this morning. It was lashing down with rain and I was soaked to the skin, but like Forrest Gump, I just kept going.

Completed in 56.20 which I'm pleased with, although time wasn't the priority today, I just wanted to get a 10k under my belt.

If I can do it you can, just keep going!

Thank you. At 39 years old and barely able to run a kilometre a few months ago, I'm really pleased.

Well done! Very impressive. Went on a massive run the other days and thought I had done 10k but turned out to be only 8k

Ah, that's annoying. Did you track the run?

Congratulations ! How many months from thE couch Did it take you? I

I follow jujus plan and am aiming for 5 0 minutes next week. At my current pace I should get to 10 k in about 8 0 minutes . In a few weeks ‘ time perhaps. Although I feel quite comfortable with running for a longer time , my speed ( is that same as pace?)has not changed much since couch day.Never mind! Who cares anyway 🐵

Thank you.

I started C25K at the beginning of the lockdown, so early April I think.

Honestly don't worry about times, the distance is key. Once you know you are able to run for 10k, then you can start trying to shave off a few seconds or even minutes.
