Was absolutely buzzing as had just managed to get to 5k in 43 mins which is an all time best for me (first time I reached 5k it took me an hour by walking last 2k) when passed an old boy walking his dog who told me to "enjoy my walk". Kinda of took wind out of my sails 🤣🤣🤣

I had an old boy and his dog pass me during one of my c25k runs. To add insult to injury, he asked if I was ok... I probably wasn’t, and most def was weazing.

I can relate to that. I think it was the first time I ran 6km, when I hit the 6km mark and came to a slow jog/walk, a guy shouted over from the other side of the road ‘have you sacked your run off mate?’. I just nodded and smiled

Well done!! Don't let that comment worry you. He hadn't seen you moving for so long. Well done indeed. Really pleased for you!

Well done you!! Getting closer to that 30 minute mark! Must be those magic socks!! 🤣. Don’t worry about the old boy, he doesn’t know what he’s talking about 😂

Sorry, I had to chuckle at that - not at you personally, but at the situation! 😅 When I first began running my local PR, there’s a decent sized hill where I was determined to keep on running, and more often than not my dog would be literally walking slowly next to me. The shame - but I did find it amusing too!

Hope you enjoyed your run. It sounds fabulous! 👏👏👏

Well done on that 5k - hang on to that buzz! If you are as old a bird as me then that comment will have rolled right off you. You can't keep an oldbird down!!!!

Thanks guys. Don't worry, I found it hilarious. I've always joked I walk faster than I walk. Going to tell myself I was just making it look so easy that I gave the appearance of walking 🤣🤣
