I attempted my 4th run this morning and thought I’d do the nice short 3km one as it’s so hot.. decided to freestyle a route (why?!) and just massively struggled!

Didn’t realise it was that neighbourhood’s bin day so had to keep dodging the bins that were in the middle of the pavement.. My laces came undone.. then I found myself halfway up a hill and had to walk a few paces.. and so sweaty. Was basically an all round awful run 😅 ah well! At least I did it (ish)

You're right a run is a run. New routes are a good way to keep your running interesting . Next time avoid the bins 🤣👍

I was mixing up being in the road and the pavement but it was getting a bit busy.. must remember Wednesday is bin day for around there! 😂 I’m moving house in a few weeks so looking forward to some new and flat(!) routes!

You got the job done... that’s what really matters. And some slalom work around the bins could pay off on twisty routes further down the line 🤣

Well done LJAR - a run is a run is a run and in this heat they’re all pretty grim! We do a lot of slaloming here - I do most of my runs along our seafront and it gets pretty busy so you have to be pretty nimble sometimes! You can always do it again when it cooler! Happy running!

It’s true, I need to get out earlier when it’s cooler but 8am is about my limit at the moment.. Ooh lovely to be able to run on the seafront! 😊 I usually stick to parks but at the moment the streets are often quieter. Wonder how our runs will change post pandemic!

You did! Well done too. We need these types of run to make us bullet proof as we go on.
