It would seem that someone stole the air

Was aiming for 5k this morning, after 3k down by the river, I was soaked in sweat, nose was running on its own, and there was just no air. Today was just a nope!!

My description of today’s run would be wearing a plastic bag on your head whilst standing by the 🔥

Anyone else find the struggle is real today or is it just me 😂

There’s no air to breathe to tough to run long distance in this weather lol

No not just you . My last 3 runs felt like that . Just no air in the air🤣

You still got a run in though 😊👍

I was going last night when I cooled, and then it thundered for an hour which I don’t mind, the rain however was something else

I'm in Scotland and we've not had any rain yet. Sometimes the rain clears the humidity sometimes not 😊

Very humid when I was out 1st thing. But great, you still did 3k which is 3k more than if you’d thought about it and decided not to go. Happy running 🤗

I find I’m just in a go running zombie state when I wake up, I get up dressed and out before I even think about it. It becomes habit

Not sure I could do that . I m not a morning person at the best of times & the thought of running before I ve even woken up ......😳.

Can I ask ,have you always done it that way ? Or is it something you ve learnt to do along the way ? 🥴

I’ve always done it that way, I do run of an evening when it’s cooler, I just like the world in the mornings, people seem less ground by the day and happier

Hiya, it's all down to the High Pollen count and low cloud, I think.

When it's like that I drop it down a gear, to adjust and take minor sips of water that day, I have got into the habit of not taking a water bottle, but in weather conditions like this and of course hot weather it tags along with me.

I'm a morning person too, after my coffee thou.😉😷

I too cut short my run. Could not regulate my breathing . You did better than me, I threw the towel in at 2.5k.

Not brilliant here either, but I got out really early and ran a new route which held my attention better, not fast but ok. The cool down walk was definitely a bit of a misnomer though, still hot and sweaty after 3k!

It is lashing down this morning, so I think I will go later when it eases off. Crazy weather

I was the same , aimed for ten and did six. It was horrible. My river was the Mersey, couldn’t see across to the other side due to the murk.

High humidity is hideous. Totally saps your energy.

I want to do 10 on Saturday, I hope it’s fresher by then. It just drains you doesn’t it.

We had humid mist by my river, vileness

We need a cold front to go through. No sign of that for at least the next week unfortunately.

Good luck with the 10.

Before last night’s rain it was like running through treacle. I slowed right down yet my heart rate was at sprint levels and it just took so much effort. Sweaty mess but still good to get out.

It’s always good to get out, I had sweat dripping from everywhere, nice shower afterwards though x
