Week 1 - Run 2 of the Magic 10 - firstly I'm not sure where to post now. Should I be on Bridge to 10k - if so, where is it?
My second run was the 30 minute. I've left the best (shortest) 'til last. New route. First 5 minutes up hill which made me feel for the first time that I wasn't going to make it and this was going to be the first time that I'd have to stop. However I carried on and whilst listening to a podcast somehow got in to what I thought was a fairly decent rhythm - it felt right. I wasn't thinking about it. I tried the Runkeeper (suggested to me at the weekend - thank you Runningmigster) which did what I wanted it to. Told me how long I'd been running and my pace. I was happy to hear Mr Announcer telling me that my 30 minutes was up. Is everyone happy to finish? Sometimes I feel as though I've just run out of steam. But having said that, I do feel great later in the day. Possibly could have something to do with what I've eaten the night before? I run first thing so don't eat before - just a cup of tea. I think I'll try a banana and some nuts on my next longer run 🤷♀️

Great run 59er. You've done the right thing by looking for new routes and yes sometimes I'm glad to finish as well . Hope you enjoy the next weeks plan 😊😊
Thanks Buddy! I'm off to France at the end if the week so I'm really looking forward to some new routes and blue skies. That always makes it a little easier. I hope I'm not disappointed!
The main reason for me moving up to 10k, was because I'm starting to find the 30 min / 5k harder. No idea why. But I figure that moving up in distance will help 5k feel easier!
That's my theory anyway 🤣.
Glad you're liking the RunKeeper app. Great that you can change all of the settings too!
I love looking back at previous runs and (hopefully) seeing an increase in the amount of yellow, as opposed to green. Really motivating. Runkeeper is brilliant.
