I use both at the same time but don't use spotify. I like to run without music but on the odd occasion I do then they all work. I set Strava in miles and NRC in km. Play the music before you set up the running apps. Occasionally my Strava has stopped working in the past. Don't forget the audio settings on both for what you want or don't want to hear re pace and distance etc.
Cheers
So i can still use strava on its own, to record my 5km run ( assume NRC doesn't record runs via GPS?), whilst listening to the 5km guided run on NRC and to the Spotify music that NRC suggests on 5km guided run too ?
Yes the NRC will record the run similar to Strava! You'll get both read outs at the end!! They both work off of GPS. I don't have the music on. I just listen to the coaching via NRC. At the end you'll get the run broken down like Strava and you can compare!
Wednesday used the 5km nrc guided run... its ok.. completely different to what I'm used to. Tonight I've used 8km tempo run... i ended up doing 8.79km .. the app was talking to me saying i still had a mile to do...so i stopped...i was tired ( lots of hills where i am )... not so sure i like 8km tempo run.. prefer audiofuel long easy run bpm...
The NRC app didn't give distances tonight either.. no idea why?
I have the similar thing to GTFC. I run NRC Fitbit and Spotify simultaneously with no issues. NRC set in km Fitbit set in miles. The only issue I have is a conflict with NRC and C25k+ podcasts.
Used 5km NRC tonight.. with suggested NRC music on Spotify. Didn't set Strava off. Just entered it all manually.
Good stuff!! Can't say I'm a fan of the playlists I like to make my own.
I'm learning my way around NRC !
I set off Strava at the beginning of my warm up with Spotify. Then when I am ready to run I set off the Nike app. When I finish running I stop the Nike app so I have an accurate picture of how fast I ran. I like seeing my path on strava. So quite a lot of apps to juggle!
Sounds complicated...mines all on my android mobile phone.. which i carry in flipbelt.. i use fitbit watch to record some but not all. Fitbit watches i find difficult to see ...mines just a basic Inspire Hd nothing fancy.
I'm the same. Set off Strava and NRC then into my belt. On the home part of NRC press distance you need if you don't want a specific programme. At the end it should always log your run. Press the three horizontal lines in the top left of screen and look at 'activity' your runs are logged there
