Thinking it would NEVER be me and always so happy when other people posted it... here goes...
I ran 10 k today!
Took an hour and 13 minutes, so my longest time running. Was too knackered after to be excited but now that I’ve had a chance to rest, I can’t believe that I’m actually able to post that post!

I don't know about you but it's just become something I do now. Doesn't it make you feel great?! Apart from a few blips for germs lovingly passed on ny the elder of the 2 whilst he was still able to go to pre-school and a 2 week break after I went over on my ankle I've manged to stick to it. Just doing some shorter and longer runs at the moment but think I'm going to restart the magic plan in July. You've inspired me 😊
I talk a friend into it recently - she’s just finished week 6 of couch and is so pleased with herself.
I’ve no intention of going more than 10k. It’s tough going and I think it’s enough for me getting out a few times a week to do shorter distances. It’s easier getting out now just with everyone at home.
I know what you mean about finding the time. Make the most of the time while everyone's home, do you think you'll run 10k frequently? Ankle has been absolutely fine.. I made sure I didn't run on it until it had felt fine for a week or so
Hey, Brian, thank you! Who would have guessed that us lot doing the couch together would end up posting this! Hope all well with you and that you’re coping well with all the demands on you. Thoughts for your wife also. How’s your running been?
Running is going really well thank you Leosmit, I'm doing my damndest to get to a 22 min 5K at the moment and the intervals and hill sprints are slowly killing me! But hey ho, I seem to think I'm Peter Pan and not 53 next month haha.
Wifey is fading far too quickly, it's heartbreaking. Honestly I swear I could walk round the house starkers all day and she'd not even notice (I hope you're not getting any images but If you are, assume I'm a muscley hunk, it'll make me feel better haha).
Running makes coping much easier and makes my (previously thought to be endless) patience last a lot longer.
Are you on Strava Leosmit? If so I'd like to follow
Yeah that’s an amazing achievement well done you!! Enjoy the lovely feeling it gives you. I did my first one a couple of weeks ago and still feeling pleased with myself 🤣
You comment about being to tired to be excited made me smile...I remember being exactly the same after my 1st 10K! Everyone was commenting, isn't it the best feeling ever and I was thinking I just felt knackered! Glad it wasn't just me 😂
I know! I thought I’d be phoning half the country to tell them but took me a day to tell folk! Three days later though and I’m proper happy with myself! I see you’ve done a HM 😱😱. That’s amazing!
