Time to stop and stare

Someone recently asked for suggestions for naming a hill. You can’t see this valley properly in the photo, but what I call this steepest hill on my longer run would be unprintable as I ascend it.

Yesterday, on my non-running day, I walked the route and saw just how pretty it is when not struggling up it.

Next time it’ll be **%#!!++* again !

Lovely photo of the countryside near to where you live and run, that route looks very steep with that yellow field in the distance.

The house on the horizon is called Pen Bre which is Cornish for hilltop. Too darned right!!

Use it for hill repeats. 2 sets of 5 with slow jog recovery downhill.

Next time you face it at the end of a run you will scoot up knowing you only have to do it once.

Interesting psychology. Since lockdown, I’ve been hill training 3 times a week. Strangely enough on the 4-hill hardest run, the fourth hill hurts the least even though it lasts 15 minutes!

So looking forward to a run on the flat. Mo Farah look out!
