I’ve twice run a 10k in the past but time, injury and disinclination got in the way of keeping up after I’d done all the hard work to get there. I completed C25k 7/8 weeks ago as part of recovery after a serious injury to my kneecap last year, and have consolidated and been gradually building up with interval running and fortnightly longer runs. Yesterday I ran 7.5k in 48 mins in searing heat. That’s half way to 10k. Pleased with my progress so far. 10k is one step (and next goal) on a journey to Half Marathon next year...

Well done. I’ve been working back up to 10K again too. I did 7K on Tuesday and I’ll do another 7K later this evening. Then a 5K on Saturday. Next week I’ll increase again. I’m just trying to get a good endurance base built up for when parkrun or races return.
