Hi everyone

I have 2 runs left on C25k and feeling great. I want to continue and improve my distance running to 10k. I did run 10k a couple of weeks ago as I was feeling breathing and energy wise brilliant, however my body didn’t thank me for it,so lesson learnt!

I’m looking for an app that is as near to the C25k one as possible as I really rely on it for motivation and timings. There seem to be so many choices when I look on the App Store. Does anyone know which one would be the most similar to train for 10k ?

Hello,

Really well done on your progress so far and best of luck on your C25K graduation run. Do not be in any hurry to get to 10K. You are a brand new runner. First you have to get comfortable with 5K. The advice is to run 5K x 3 times per week for 8 to 10 weeks. At that stage you can then start training for 10K if you want to. I got to 10K by running 5K x 3 times per week. I then picked 1 of these runs each week as my long run and added 500 meters onto it each week. JuJu also has a 10K plan on this forum.

I’m running 3 years now and 90% of my running is 5K. I only train for 10K when I enter a 10K race.

Great effort on your progress so far. I did the ju ju plan fro. This forum - I found it a really easy progression and due to the freezing winter weather I was doing it in skipped the 9k week by keeping running to 10. I now run regular 10k - doing 4 over 7 days this week. Happy running 🤗
