It’s your choice, the world 🌎 is your oyster 🦪. I aimed for 5 km as my next goal. You could find Ju-Ju’s post on doing planks and have a go at those for developing core strength if you feel so inclined...

What would you like to do? If you enjoy the freedom of just running then do that, just run increasing a little distance when you feel like it. The main thing I always think is a happy run 🤗

I was in that situation a few weeks ago. I tried varying my routes, running on different surfaces and occasionally the speed intervals on the podcast which you'll find on the site. Sorry I don't have the link. I really think it's great to mix it up a bit at first.

Then, everything will just click into place and you'llfind what sort of running suits you.

If you want to push for more distance, perhaps just give yourself time to build up gently, on the runs when you feel like doing that.

Good luck and happy running.

Yes.. i use these podcasts .. gives me confidence to keep going..

I'm chuffed i managed that tonight as I've had week off with a bad knee too..

I'm missing my running buddies too ..

I've no scope to vary running routes here a t m until after lockdown restrictions.. so I'm stuck to streets n hills.. lol..

For us it was going into winter when we graduated and we just went out often in the dark and wet so sometimes we ran 15 minutes and came home sometimes we felt great and ran on for longer than the 30 minutes, we did our first 5k about a month after graduating and it took 52 minutes then a few weeks later ran 6k

I was ill in January and Willow was ill after me and when we re started running we started very short time and built up slowly, today i ran 8k and although still slow i feel so happy, in between we have steep hills on the South Downs and walk up them to look at the view and strengthen our legs. I also do squats daily I started with 10 and increased until i got bored so sometimes 20 and sometimes 50

That’s a lot of waffle but hopefully you can see you can do what you want as long as you enjoy it

I’ve learned to find beauty wherever we go, I haven’t run as far as town yet though so don’t know what the shops look like

Its trying to find people free route s and with enough diversion space too.

I've mainly stayed outside and I'm in my street...boring but safe!
