After the couch 2 5 k - are there any apps which are free which can offer progression to longer distances?

What has everyone else done

Find the bridge to 10K link and follow the lovely Juju's plan to get you running up to either 60 mins, or 10 km. I did one then the other. Like C25K, it's very structured and doable. Good luck!

I did the JuJu plan. It is achievable even if you think you won't get there. You will!

I did the Juju plan too it’s weird not having a person to guide you through it at first but then strangely liberating.

I’m also doing the juju plan, time not distance as it’s a bit easier for my pace, etc plus I also use Nike Rub club app guided runs by coach Bennett as I like to have someone speaking and giving encouragement throughout the runs.

Yep! I also did JuJu's plan🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Thank you all -this is very helpful !

I went out this morning in the rain and wind -wonderful 😀. Then I did some yoga to stretch out as I’m ridiculously stiff .

I’ll take a look at JuJu’s program and perhaps start it after I’ve consolidated my 5k runs 3x a week .

If you like running in the rain and wind, you are in love with running, so will go far!

Thank you !! I’m a great believer in being present with the elements. I think it’s good for the soul . Been listening a lot to Wim Hof - think he’s on to something!!

A barefoot marathon in the snow sounds a bit extreme, but I agree that in our centrally-heated, hermetically sealed world, the elements are missing! I work all winter on my allotment and swear it's the reason I don't get colds.

Agree.

We don’t live far from the sea . I made a point of not using a wetsuit all summer. Felt better for it .
