All the weeks of training the last 3 months, the pain of doing intervals and focusing on getting both distance and speed up to get to the magic 10K.
Wifey wasn’t happy though, strewth I was being blamed for everything when I got back because I’d been away so long. Still, at least she didn’t go wandering off and with Alz, she’ll have forgotten it soon ... oh hang on, I think she already has!
Right, now to go get my badge 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
Keep running,
Bri.

At least I know I've done it, if I can't always do the 50 mins depending on how she is that day.
I think I'll continue what I've been doing, slow down a bit to consolidate the running time (and enjoy it), still do intervals and see what I can do with my 5K time. What I really want (whether it's achievable or not is another matter) is that by the end of the year I want to be the old fart doing a Park Run sub 20 and finish with the teenagers! haha. We'll see, it's going to take a lot of painful intervals to get near that. It gives me a goal, and I'm driven by goals.
You also gave me a tremendous boost too ju-ju- back in early February (after C25K consolidation) when you rubber stamped my Bri28K plan. I was venturing in to the unknown and didn't think back then that I'd "be allowed out" for 50 mins let alone do 10K in it!
